Fox News host Greg Gutfeld doused the woke climate change cult in a heavy layer of sarcasm on Wednesday night’s Gutfeld! as he ridiculed a New York Times hypocritical doom and gloom take on the latest UN climate report.
Gutfeld quoted a New York Times article from Tuesday that detailed how our fragile planet will go up in flames if fossil fuel production doesn’t come to a screeching halt, according to the latest UN climate report.
“Of course, this real threat to humanity it’s never gone away. Its delivery day just keeps getting changed,” he said.
The Times headlined the piece: “Climate Change is Speeding Toward Catastrophe. The Next Decade is Crucial, U.N. Panel Says.” Yet, the article buried the fact that some scientists disagree with the catastrophic characterization.
“It’s funny though: the headline screams catastrophe, but then halfway through it they say ‘never mind. The shocking news isn’t so shocking at all,’” he said.
“Earth is likely to cross a critical threshold for global warming within the next decade, and nations will need to make an immediate and drastic shift away from fossil fuels to prevent the planet from overheating dangerously beyond that level, according to a major new report released on Monday,” the article fearmongered.
“A new report, right, huh? It eerily sounds like the same one Al Gore and the rest of these lying, fearmongering bitches have been screaming at us for the last forty years,” he said. “Hey but hey, so what. You peasants need to suffer or the whole world will be doomed.”
Gutfeld noted that halfway through, the New York Times report completely contradicted the entire rest of the article.
“‘Many scientists have pointed out that surpassing the 1.5-degree threshold will not mean humanity is doomed’…why didn’t you say so to begin with?” asked Gutfeld. “Now I’m sure that this so-called threshold is arbitrary, just a thing every fear merchant can agree on.”
He went on to point out the arbitrary nature of climate change activism.
“These experts keep moving the goalposts because they’re worse at predicting the end of the world than the Mayans… they pick the year where everything ends and then the deadline passes.
“Then, coincidentally, Greta Thunberg deletes her tweet about it, and the climate crooks have to pick a new date,” commented Gutfeld.
Speaking of Greta Thunberg, you know climate change has reached a whole new level of crazy when Thunberg receives an honorary doctorate degree in theology for her climate activism.
“I guess that means they are finally admitting that climate change is truly a religion. And it is. Just like Jonestown,” concluded Gutfeld.

Originally the doomsday limit was 2 degrees. This was based on how stable the temperatures had been in England and this certainly wasn’t a valid criterion. I watch the change to 1.5 degrees. It was a pure political process. There didn’t even appear to be a junk science study justifying the change. It seemed to be driven by an increase in fear that the low-level islands would be flooded. However, these have been gaining in surface area. I will again mention that during the medieval warm period, it had to be 3 degrees warmer than today for grapes to grow in northern England.
