Montana Democratic congressional candidate Rob Quist recommended that climate change skeptics kill themselves during a debate last weekend.
On a televised debate, Quist was given the last chance to comment on climate change when he made his strange recommendation.
“This is something that the entire world needs to address,” Quist said. “If any those of you that feel like this is not a problem, I challenge you to go into your car in your garage, start your car, and see what happens there.”
During his campaign, Quist’s life has come into the public light, including his regular musical performances at an Idaho nudist resort with his daughter.
Quist has rejected help from the Democratic National Committee, but he will campaign with Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.). Quist is currently trailing Republican Greg Gianforte in the polls by 15 points.
The May 25 special election will determine Montana’s lone member of the House of Representatives after former Rep. Ryan Zinke vacated the seat to become President Donald Trump’s secretary of the interior.
Good chance that Quist is a know – nothing. There is very little in common between suicide in a garage and man-made CO2 in the atmosphere. The car running in a closed garage consumes available oxygen until the engine produces CO. Closing the garage door is a noose. Out in the open there is zero chance of anything going wrong. The carbon cycle protects the planet, dependable as gravity.
He can’t tell the difference between carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide? Further proof alarmists don’t know their science.
You’ve hit on something 4X… I would wager that a significant proportion of the dupes who buy the entire CO2 global warming meme DON’T know the difference between CO2 and CO. That’s why it’s been so easy for the left to sell the notion that CO2 is an unnatural and deadly pollutant that doesn’t belong in our atmosphere.
This is an improvement over some other suggestions from activists. Some have said that Skeptics should be executed.
This sort of thing is a dead give away that climate change advocacy is a phony science. True science welcomes divergent view. I know, I have a lot of education in the sciences.
Climate change advocacy is nothing more than a political campaign run by people with little understanding of science and even less ethics.
Seeing as no one “denies” that Climate Changes his statement is meaningless.
As for Mann Made cLIEmate change. Anyone who is an actual scientist would be by default a “skeptic”. It’s one of the key tenants of the Scientific Method.
When the Co2 warming hypothesis was compared to observation, it failed every time. So any “real” scientist must reject the hypothesis. All that is left are Deniers of the Scientific Method.
