Washington Post’s weatherman Jason Samenow can’t even get his facts right, it seems:

He claims:
Montreal recorded its highest temperature in recorded history, dating back 147 years, of 36.6C on Monday. The city also posted its most extreme midnight combination of heat and humidity.
Which is all very strange, because the official Canadian Government data shows a much higher temperature of 37.6C in August 1975:

Samenow is like Rhett Butler, ‘Frankly Scarlett I don’t give a damn!’ The media is now based on the Golden Calf of hyperbole and sensationalism. They simply LIE with the sure and certain faith that their DEPLORABLE readers will not check facts.

Montreal rarely experiences heat waves. People there probably regard air conditioners like emergency generators. Most of the casualties there were vulnerable. Modern society fails these poor souls. Knock on their door to see if they’re OK. Invite them in to your house until it’s over.

There is a lot of fraud in reporting “hottest ever” temperatures. This is to the support the fraud of the anthropological climate change movement.
However, there is also statistical factor that in addition to biases reporting can also make it appear there is a pattern of warming. Consider a thousand kids that have been exercising at the same level for months so over all gain in ability is no longer expected. Now consider a scenario where these kids run a 100 yard dash each day. Because of the nature of statistics there will be some days when one or more of the kids does better than they have ever done before.
This also applies to the summer time temperature of locations that record it. However, this isn’t a thousand kids, there are tens of thousands if not over a million such locations. Now add a highly biased media that will only focus on the ones that have broken their records and ignore the every other location. The end result is a false impression that we have a general warming trend.
I do need to add that we do have warming, but it is luke warming and not nearly the magnitude that the media would like us to believe.
