Paul McCartney: Going Vegan Is The Best Way To Get Back At Trump’s Climate ‘Madness’

Give peas a chance!

One of the surviving members of the Beatles believes switching to veganism could help people who love the environment fight back against President Donald Trump’s climate agenda.

“It’s not the total solution, but it’s part of the solution,” Sir Paul McCartney told reporters in an interview Sunday about going meatless to beat-back global warming. Activists have pushed this position for years, he added, but people like Trump are making it difficult.

“Particularly when you’ve got someone like Trump who says that it (climate change) is just a hoax,” McCartney, 75, said about comments the president once made about global warming. The interview was hyping a short film from the former Beatle encouraging people to go a week without eating animal products.

“A lot of people like myself think that’s just madness so it’s maybe a good time now to try and focus people’s attention and say ‘look, forget about him we can do something,’” McCartney added.

Environmentalists have long-sought schools and other institutions move away from meat-eating and toward tofu. California schools partnered with the environmental group Friends of the Earth (FOE) earlier this year to give kids a lunch menu designed to eliminate foods it says are “unsustainable for our planet.”

The new menu features far less meat and more plant-based food. Any meat or cheese the school did use came from “pastured, organic dairy cows.” The student’s lunch menu went from pepperoni pizza to vegan stir fry tofu and vegan tostadas.

Love the Beatles but given the amount of drugs they have done not sure they should get on a soap box as preachy roll models . Yeah go vegan along with the chain smoking and LSD too ?

How many people in the UK die fuel poverty deaths caused by
government policies to enrich friends and pretend to set the earths thermostat . Bird blenders massacre millions of birds . Not very vegan is it Sir Paul ?
Of course climate changes and we should be happy it’s currently in a warming cycle with a little added boost to that plant food CO2 .
The earth doesn’t have a fever and its greening . Nothing to get fussed about . Conservation yes but the biggest con job in history
is that humans are somehow do a three little bears and get the earth’s temperature where some committee wants it .
Great musician , the best really but not buying it Sir Paul .

I’ll admit to choosing the Beatles over the Stones. However, I don’t look to artists for real – life solutions.
The UK didn’t win WWII, they survived. The only answer was to tighten their belts several notches and keep a stiff upper lip. Socialism took root and that’s their lot.
There’s no need for their sermons over ‘ere. I admire vegetarians, especially the ones who practice without preaching.

I’ve read accounts of McCartney seen eating a stake long after he professed to being a vegan.

McCartney should be locked in an abattoir for 48 hours to leach the crap out of him.
