There are three important concepts demonstrated here. One, is no matter how thoroughly an item supporting the alarmist cause has been discredited, they will continue to use it. I continue to read articles advocating the warmest view point that we must cut emissions to avoid increasing hurricanes, droughts, and other extreme weather events. Yet, even the IPCC has stated these do not appear to be increasing. With the claim of disappearing sea ice, the same is happening.
Second, the so called scientists always pick a maximum or minimum as their base line depending on which serves their purpose. With sea ice, the maximum of 1980 was selected. With ocean acidification, the maximum pH of 1988 was selected. These examples are part of a much larger picture of the entire climate change crisis being artificially manufactured.
The third concept, no matter how inaccurate the claim, the liberal press will assume it is fact and sensationalize it.
Cherry – picking baselines and then plotting data on compressed graphs for dramatic effect is their favorite low-down tactic. David, you give the liberal press too much credit, they don’t care if it is fact or fake as long as it’s sensational .
