The summer of 2018 has (so far) brought the smallest number of daily record temperatures and the smallest number of all-time record maximum temperatures in the US.
The number of record daily precipitation events has been trending downwards and is twelfth smallest in the last fifty years.
The number of tornadoes in 2018 has been second smallest on record.
And there have been no US hurricane strikes. By this date in 1886, the US had already been hit by four hurricanes and was about to be hit by a fifth.

The Ministry of Truth, of course, reports the exact opposite.

But Tony, that can’t be true because the media are inundating us daily with how this is the hottest ever and storms, forest fires, and anything else they can think of are all worse because of the heat! They even have scientists telling it’s true with their go-to guy, Michael Mann, explaining that it was all predetermined due to increasing CO2 in the atmosphere.
And the Goreacle has been telling us it’s the worst evah and we’re all going to die if something isn’t done about it right now.
The warmists and the media count on us not knowing or remembering what it was like in the past. They are hoping we believe what they write because, well, because they wouldn’t lie to us about something that important. That’s why the postings by Tony Heller (aka Steve Goddard on twitter) to point out where it was hotter, dryer, wetter, … in the past.
Tornadoes are filmed, photographed and counted like never before. But yet, there’s fewer of them? How can that be? We’ve passed Al Gore’s “Inconvenient” tipping point.
Today, it was estimated by the USDA that American grain crops are in excellent shape . No shortage of food this year!
Sonnyhill, I would guess you’ve read some of the articles on tornadoes, how with more people out watching, taking photos and video on their phones, etc and the new radar systems there has been a very large uptick on the number of F0 and a lesser uptick on F1 tornadoes. These were never seen before and would have caused minimal if any damage. But that makes it look like a large increase in numbers. Take even just the F0 tornadoes out and we find fewer strong tornadoes than in the past.
But facts mean nothing to the warmists like Mann because it risks the gravy train that they are all on.
