Last week I asked: “What’s causing the death of the polar bear as a climate change icon?”
I was echoing the conclusion of a commentator at the Arctic Institute (22 August 2017) who lamented: “The polar bear is dead, long live the polar bear” and climate scientist Michael Mann, who told a lecture audience a few months ago that polar bears are no longer useful for generating “action” on climate change.

Kind of makes you wonder: is Al Gore’s recent climate change movie, An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power, tanking at the box office because he couldn’t include polar bears as an example of the effects of human-caused global warming as he did in his award-winning 2007 effort? Did too many polar bears doom Gore’s 2017 movie?

Regardless of what the climate left chooses to replace their polar bears, be assured that the new poster child will NOT be able to speak for itself. The key requirement is an image that is bendable to the ever-changing fictions of the left, and never anyone who could object to their distorted and untruthful portrayals.
Seems to me that progressives supported the erstwhile “theory ” of evolution, and mocked the religious conservatives for clinging to the book of Genesis. Has evolution stopped? For the human race, yes. Society ensures our proliferation. The rest of planet Earth is well equipped to cope with any change in climate, sea level, ice cover,etc.
Like those idiots from Greenpeace running around dressed as polar-bears the eater of little baby seals the eater of little goslings as well i saw this film showing a polar-bear eating little goslings until the skuas and Arctic Terns chased it away and one of this biggist hoaxes it cartoons show penguins and Polar-Bears living in the same location
Stupid Warmists couldn’t get the Polar Bears to play along. No “White Lives Matter” . No cultural appropriation. No loss of habitat compensation claims. Any polar bear would p!ss on a pipeline for a six pack of baby seals.
