Crusading @MassAGO Says She Won’t Comply With TX Exxon Court Order

maura-healeyOne of the attorneys general targeting ExxonMobil’s climate change research is “vigorously opposing” a judge’s order demanding she explain the nature of her investigation.

Massachusetts AG Maura Healey said she will not comply with U.S. District Judge Ed Kinkeade’s order to hash out specifics about her investigation into whether the oil company knowingly shelved research showing the effects fossil fuels have on the climate.

“Legally, we believe we’re on strong legal ground, not only with respect to the questions that we’ve asked but also with respect to the position that this court has no jurisdiction over us — meaning, in simple terms, what the court has done is inappropriate,” Healey told reporters Monday.

Healey went on to say that she has “no plans” to comply with the court order. “We’ll take it up on appeal,” she added.

The Massachusetts Democrat’s crusade is part of a multi-state effort among liberal attorneys general and lawmakers to probe Exxon for allegedly trying to cover up decades of global warming science.

New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman also launched an investigation into Exxon in November for similar reasons. He is widely perceived as the AG spearheading the entire investigation.

Schneiderman hosted a conference in March with other AGs, which included Healey, when it was announced that more prosecutors would probe Exxon and fight back against Republican attacks on federal environmental regulations.

Exxon accused Healey and Schneiderman of taking politically motivated actions intended to force the company into complying with their preferred policies on climate change.

She isn’t looking too puffed up now . Tough couple of weeks but she hasn’t seen anything yet . No where to run no where to hide . The little clique of AD lobbyists stepped out of their protective cover the day they formed a lobby group and went on a targeted witch hunt . Shocking that lawyers would be so stupid .
Religion and arrogance are a wicked cocktail .

Smarty pants Moh-ra Hay-lee can be summarily removed from office upon determination of criminal contempt.

And criminal contempt can arise from mere arrogant refusal of a court order.

    She says she’s a lawyer ?

Not sure what she’s getting at but even top official climate researchers are still making adjustments to temperatures recorded 50 years ago to show how serious global warming is. These corrections have been made mostly in the last decade. So she suggesting that people who was paid to work in oil extraction would have secretly found mistakes in the temperature recordings and kept quiet about it. Maybe they knew of the crazy theory that suggest after the last ice age the land was compressed by icesheets hence the expanding hide the effect of the rising seas. And the came up with this theory decades before the ones that actually paid measure the sea levels and temperature.

What could Exxon be hiding? If their researchers found no evidence of mann-made global warming from burning fossil fuels, then they simply disagreed with the fraudulent claims of the UN IPCC and the AGW Alarmists.
The AsG are the frauds. They have blindly accepted the CO2 is some kind of magic gas that controls climate. Ask THEM to provide the proof of the GHG Theory that will cause CAGW.

Exxon isn’t responsible for consumers buying legally made and sold products or for shareholders who make their own informed decisions about being a part owner in the company . Exxon is a company name with thousands of people employed and probably holding a wide range of opinions . . The global cooling scare of the 1970’s turned out to be a hoax . Did Exxon cause the global cooling scare . No . Were they blamed for “knowing ” something. Of course not . Why now ?
The reason they are targeting by the AG’s is the foolish hope Exxon will throw a bunch of cash at the people looking to shame a piggy bank . Wrong !
What the Witch hunters have done is played a weak hand and it is going
to take down the overhyped fraud of global warming .
The shaky AG lobby group aren’t looking so high and mighty now .
Congrats for delivering Al Gore though .
