Yet again, the society of climate alarmists tells us we have little time left to address global warming. It’s a sign of desperation.
What else can the merchants of madness do when we’re now closing in on nine years of a warming pause?
Last month the New York Times published an article that we swear we have read before. [emphasis, links added]
“Earth is likely to cross a critical threshold for global warming within the next decade, and nations will need to make an immediate and drastic shift away from fossil fuels to prevent the planet from overheating dangerously beyond that level,” the Times’ climate scribe wrote, citing a “major new report” issued by the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
The IPCC paper reveals that “there is still one last chance to shift course.” But it will – naturally – “require industrialized nations to join together immediately to slash greenhouse gases roughly in half by 2030 and then stop adding carbon dioxide to the atmosphere altogether by the early 2050s.”
How many other times have we heard that we were either approaching our last chance to save ourselves from global warming, or that our opportunity to do what is “right” had already passed us by?
So many deadlines, so many “now or nevers” have come and gone that it’s almost impossible to track them all.
The climate cranks are like the doomsday cultists who have the end of the world marked on their calendars and when it doesn’t arrive they say, “Whoops, my math was bad. Let me recalculate and I’ll get back to you with a new date.”
While the international hotheads are screeching about impending doom, levelheaded observers point to data that clearly show a pause in warming, which has been mild and as likely natural as it is human-caused, has now reached eight years and nine months.
There has been no rise in global temperatures from July 2015 to March 2023.
This fact-based claim draws on satellite readings from the University of Alabama in Huntsville that measure temperatures in the troposphere, a much more accurate method of keeping score than the shoddy records produced by ground-based weather stations.
“The start and end dates of the New Pause are not cherry-picked,” writes Christopher Monckton, an adviser for Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher who now consults with the Heartland Institute on climate policy. “The end date is the present; the start date is the farthest back one can reach and still find a zero trend. It is what it is.”
But why not go back further, maybe to the beginning of the satellite measurements? What do the data say then?
Not much, at least not anything to be alarmed by.
“The entire dataset for 44 years four months since December 1978,” says Monckton, “shows a less than terrifying long-run warming rate equivalent to 1.3 degrees/century, of which 0.3” degrees has already occurred, leaving a single degree “to go (on the current trend) until 2100.”
Of course, the warming racket will either ignore the pause or attack the messenger. Fact-checkers will skip the truth whenever possible and bend it when they can’t. And the cycle of fearmongering will roll on.
The benefits that accrue to the political left – an explosion of progressive policies, greater opportunities for graft, a constant upgrade in social status, and more control over the masses – are just too juicy to give up.

The ignored climate model INMCM5 matches real world data closely. It predicts a 1.4 increase in temperature by 2100. This is very close to what the satellite trend shows.

While the satellite data should supersede wonky ground – based data, the last two paragraphs are discouraging. The facts will land like pearls before swine. The Warmist toolbox is full of dirty tricks.

We can’t use unreliable satellite data. We must only regard manipulated, poorly sited, cherry picked, and nonexistent terrestrial stations.
I have the solution, if anyone cared to listen. Let’s address the elephant in the room. The biggest consumer of fossil fuels is transportation, heating/cooling, and industrial energy requirements. Why not save the economy while we transition to greener energy? Build 30 plus new atomic energy stations across Canada, remove the carbon tax, and expand oil and gas to the max. Have a made-in-Canada price for gasoline and diesel and export the rest at world prices. With this comprehensive energy policy, Canada would become the place to manufacture now and in the future. As low-cost atomic energy comes on stream, (in 15-20 years) oil and gas would naturally be phased out. Result: healthy sustainable manufacturing economy (the envy of the world) and targets met for pollution reduction.
The only climate change is from the U. S. Government HAARP and CHEMTRAILS PROJECTS. Call your Senator and Congressman and have them stop this.

None of the alarmist “forecasts” have ever come true. The Club of Rome (1977) said the world would be entirely out of oil in 2015. Hansen the Heroic said in 1985 “3 degrees C up by 2020.” It was 1/2 of one degree.
…and when we enter the next down slope of the Milankovitch cycle (actually we’ve already started, we’re still near the peak), all of this so called “warming” will be reversed, naturally, without any intervention by man. This climate hysteria is just another hoax perpetrated on people who believe everything their governments tell them, instead of doing their own research.
Globull warming is a hoax, pure and simple. The proponents have been jiggering the numbers to arrive at their hoped-for conclusions. We Humans ride the Earth w/o an instruction manual…best leave nature to adjust on its own. We can’t predict volcanoes and they tend to have a “cooling effect” on the atmosphere, so even if we were able to reduce Earth’s temp it might wind up as an ice age (because those happen too!).
Well, you know what this means. “See! See! See! Had we not warned you and had we not forced “drastic” changes, it would have been worse”.

The headline reads, “Satellite Data Shows No Global Warming For Eight Years, Nine Months”. The article contains this sentence, “There has been no rise in global temperatures from July 2015 to March 2023.” That’s 7 (not 8) years and 9 months (and only if July 1, 2015 through March 2023 is meant).
The AGW cultists would just say this is evidence that the mitigation efforts are working. And don’t think for second they won’t hold two opposing views and still call you the conspiracy nut.
Climate change is the biggest hoax perpetrated on mankind in human history. )The scamdemic comes close.) Why not end hunger or eradicate disease?
