Much of recent global warming has been fabricated by climate scientists to make it look more frightening, a study has found.
The peer-reviewed study by two scientists and a veteran statistician looked at the global average temperature datasets (GAST) which are used by climate alarmists to argue that recent years have been “the hottest evah” and that the warming of the last 120 years has been dramatic and unprecedented.
What they found is that these readings are “totally inconsistent with published and credible U.S. and other temperature data.”
That is, the adjusted data used by alarmist organizations like NASA, NOAA, and the UK Met Office differs so markedly from the original raw data that it cannot be trusted.

The blue bars show where the raw temperature data has been adjusted downwards to make it cooler; the red bars show where the raw temperature data has been adjusted upwards to make it warmer.
Note how most of the downward adjustments take place in the early twentieth century and most of the upward take place in the late twentieth century.
According to meteorologist Joe D’Aleo, who co-authored the study with statistician James Wallace and Cato Institute climate scientist Craig Idso, this has the effect of exaggerating the warming trend:
“Nearly all of the warming they are now showing are in the adjustments.”
“Each dataset pushed down the 1940s warming and pushed up the current warming.”
“You would think that when you make adjustments you’d sometimes get warming and sometimes get cooling. That’s almost never happened.”
What this means, the report concludes, is that claims by NASA, NOAA, and the UK Met Office that the world is experiencing unprecedented and dramatic warming should be taken with a huge pinch of salt: they all use the same corrupted global average temperature (GAST) data.

Where to start? ,”solar and wind employ far more Americans than coal” ? Once solar and turbines have been installed the workers leave, for good. Also, conventional fossil-fueled generators are needed to back up the fickle duo, sun and wind.
China and India are NOT ” moving extraordinarily rapidly” to reduce emissions . They’re doing the exact opposite.
Per capita emissions? Subsistence is not an attractive lifestyle, but if you should choose to live that way, don’t expect a following.
Subsidies? Calculate again using $ per kilowatt.

I had an interesting conversation earlier today with an intelligent acquaintance who is about 20 years old. He brought up climate change, and I told him it was nothing but a fraud. He had never heard of medieval warm period, never heard of little ice age, never heard of the global cooling scare of the 1970’s, and never heard of climategate (he would have been a kid when climategate was in the news). He knew about the hockey stick shaped temperature graph and knew that we are cooking the earth because of CO2. The fraudsters, very possibly, have succeeded at brainwashing an entire generation.
And remember, this is the generation that knows EVERYTHING. As soon as they leave their parent’s basement, they will rule the world with their incredible advanced degrees in Gender Studies…

As a skier who has grown up in Western NY and lived there all my life, and as a chemist who has appreciated and studied science my whole life, I can tell you with 100% confidence the world is warming. I liver less than 2 hours from Canada. I ski in the rain more than I ever have. I have watched a foot of snow disappear in days, IN FEBRUARY, and IN MARCH. Is weather cyclical, yes. Can patterns change, YES. Are they? YES. You can fool yourself and believe what you want, but I’d sell the beachfront condo along the way.
As a professor and scientist who has been a peer reviewer or editor for over 1200 manuscripts, I can see that this report is neither published nor peer reviewed. It does not include a citation to a peer reviewed journals. Peer reviewers are selected by a journal’s editors. You don’t just make a list of people who say that agree with the general conclusions of a manuscript. If these authors have something worthwhile to contribute, they should make the effort to get their report peer reviewed and published. As it is, I see several parts of this manuscript that would need significant changes to pass peer review.
