Carbon dioxide is a pollutant, the Environmental Protection Agency says. It’s been drilled into us for more than 30 years that we have to cut our CO2 emissions if we don’t want the world to end too soon. [emphasis, links added]
But we know that the climate scare is in no way related to protecting the sky. The data tell us so.
Over the last three calendar years, 2021, 2022, and 2023, “no country has reduced its carbon emissions more than any other major nation on a per capita basis,” the Committee to Unleash Prosperity tells us.
“Even though our GDP is about 50% higher than China’s, our per capita emissions are roughly the same,” says the group.
The data also tell us that though China’s emissions grow every year, “ours have come down every year over the last decade.”
Yet the U.S. is continually singled out as the worst greenhouse gas offender, while China – and India – escape the wrath of the klimate kooks, from Greta Thunberg to Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to actor Leonardo DiCaprio, who actually “praised China’s efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.”
The CTUP chart above shows a sharp decrease in U.S. emissions and a modest drop in European Union emissions.
But look at the increases in India, Southeast Asia, and China, particularly the latter. Can anyone remember when climate alarmists traveled to Beijing, Mumbai, or Jakarta to publicly chastise the nations these capitals represent for their emissions?
When was the last time a U.S. lawmaker demanded that these countries cut their fossil fuel use?
If our “leaders” were being honest then we wouldn’t have an entirely mad administration demanding that we cut “greenhouse gas emissions 50-52% below 2005 levels in 2030,” reach “100% carbon pollution-free electricity by 2035” and achieve “a net-zero emissions economy by 2050.”
Nor would our elites have feted Thunberg and treated her as an authority who must be revered while she ranted and scolded and screeched.
Pope Francis would not have admonished America for its “irresponsible” Western lifestyle and Bill Nye, no science guy but an engineer and an actor, would have never said that voting (he means for U.S. Democrats) is the best option “if you want to do one thing about climate change.”
Then there are the cranks at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, who insist that “observed and anticipated increases in greenhouse gas emissions from China and other countries don’t let Americans off the hook for reducing emissions.”
And never forget that Al Gore has made a post-vice presidential career out of blaming the U.S. for what believes is a disaster in the making.
If the climatistas were truly concerned with the planet, they would nag the countries that are increasing emissions.
But those aren’t developed Western nations, so they get a pass. This gives the game away.
Climate hysteria is not about stopping some imagined warming, it’s about choking capitalism, punishing wealthy societies, and establishing a socialist-collectivist governance model.

We know the climate crisis isn’t about the climate because the CAGW hypothesis has been disproved. It is little more than a poorly-told and easily-disproved climate fairy tale.
The AGW (Anthropogenic Global Warming, due to CO2) and CAGW (Catastrophic Anthropogenic Global Warming, due to CO2) hypotheses have been disproved… they do not reflect reality. They’ve been disproved via multiple avenues in the paper at the bottom of the linked page below.

The takeaways:
1) The climatologists have conflated their purported “greenhouse effect” with the Kelvin-Helmholtz Gravitational Auto-Compression Effect (aka the lapse rate).
2) The climatologists claim the causative agent for their purported “greenhouse effect” to be “backradiation”.
3) The Kelvin-Helmholtz Gravitational Auto-Compression Effect’s causative agent is, of course, gravity.
4) “Backradiation” is physically impossible because energy cannot spontaneously flow up an energy density gradient.
5) The climatologists misuse the Stefan-Boltzmann (S-B) equation, using the idealized blackbody form of the equation upon graybody objects, which manufactures out of thin air their purported “backradiation”, which is only a mathematical artifact due to that aforementioned misuse of the S-B equation. “Backradiation” does not and cannot actually exist. Its existence would imply rampant violations of the fundamental physical laws.
6) Polyatomic molecules are net atmospheric radiative coolants, not “global warming” gases. Far from the ‘global warming gas’ claimed by the climatologists, water acts as a literal refrigerant (in the strict ‘refrigeration cycle‘ sense) below the tropopause. CO2 is the most prevalent atmospheric radiative coolant above the tropopause and the second-most prevalent (behind water vapor) below the tropopause.
Before anyone dismisses what I write, do keep in mind that my writings are the only avenue which completely hew to the fundamental physical laws. CAGW certainly doesn’t do that,, it’s predicated upon an implied rampant and continual violation of 2LoT in the Clausius Statement sense, in the form of “backradiation”.
And before anyone attempts to post in opposition to what I’ve written, I encourage you to work through the maths yourself first. You’ll find everything I write is based upon bog-standard thermodynamics, radiative theory, cavity theory, dimensional analysis, electrical theory and quantum theory taken straight from physics tomes.
These concepts used to be widely known… the institutions of higher learning started teaching the ‘shortcut’ method of calculating radiant exitance (via using the idealized blackbody form of the S-B equation and subtracting a wholly fictive ‘cooler to warmer’ energy flow from the real (but far too high because it was calculated for emission to 0 K) ‘warmer to cooler’ energy flow)… but those same institutions of higher learning stopped telling their students that that is just a shortcut method to make the calculations easier, that one cannot draw conclusions from it that can be applied to the real world. Now we have calls to repeal 2LoT, which is ludicrous, but that’s what we get when the quality of education declines.
The proper method, using the graybody form of the S-B equation, and subtracting cooler object energy density from warmer object energy density to arrive at the energy density gradient can be used to draw conclusions about the real world, and hews completely to the fundamental physical laws, as I show at the link above.
