For the first time ever, a federal judge has ordered a court hearing specifically focused on the science behind man-made global warming.
U.S. District Court Judge William Alsup has ordered both parties to present evidence for and against man-made global warming in a court case between several major oil companies like Exxon, Chevron and BP and the California cities that have accused them of intentionally lying to the public about their role in contributing to climate change.
McClatchy D.C. reports that “In the five-hour hearing, both the cities and the oil companies will have a chance to present Alsup with their views on the history of climate change science, and the most important recent findings in the field.”
McClatchy adds:
The proceeding, scheduled for March 21 by U.S. District Court Judge William Alsup, will feature lawyers for Exxon, BP, Chevron and other oil companies pitted against those for San Francisco and Oakland — California cities that have accused fossil fuel interests of covering up their role in contributing to global warming.
“This will be the closest that we have seen to a trial on climate science in the United States, to date,” said Michael Burger, a lawyer who heads the Sabin Center for Climate Change Law at Columbia University.
Experts on both sides say Alsup’s call for a climate change “tutorial” is unlike anything they’ve heard of before.
Alsup ordered the tutorial on climate change to be presented in two parts.
“The first part will trace the history of scientific study of climate change, beginning with a scientific inquiry into the formation and melting of the ice ages, periods of historical cooling and warming, smog, ozone, nuclear winter, volcanoes, and global warming. Each side will have sixty minutes. The second part will set forth the best science now available on global warming, glacier melt, sea rise, and coastal flooding. Each side will again have another sixty minutes,” the judge wrote in his order.
While several previous court cases have focused on whether government agencies were complying with existing environmental law based on supposed “climate change,” (like the famous case last year in which children sued the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection), this will mark the first time the actual science itself has been put on trial in federal court.

Are polygraph test results admissible?
Because there’s gonna be some lies told and the judge is not a scientist. It needs to be shown that global warming was invented out of thin air and is still a hypothesis.
Polygraph tests are NOT admissible.
A Polygraph measures your pulse, blood pressure and respiration.
That’s all it does.
It is unreliable in detecting a willful lie.
Its use in law enforcement is only as an intimidation device during interrogation.
AND…. no AGW computer models allowed.
Empirical proof ONLY, …. using raw data, not tampered data.
And dont use Al Bore or Leonardo DiCaprio’s fake Docunentries and dont allow Bill Nye unless he has taken Polyograph(Lie Detector) test and dont alllow Greenpeace NRDC or EDF to offer their fake evedence

Proven , grossly inaccurate climate models exaggerated any warming from CO2 and they were the foundation to a $Trillion dollar fleecing of tax payers . The real question is when did the politicians know and why did they impose policies leading to the

Yes it has been warming and CO2 may be a small contributing factor that produces as many or more benefits than drawbacks .
For example the earth is greening as satellite pictures show .
The science of climate study cannot accurately predict the main drivers of climate change let alone what a trace gas does other than act as natures plant food .
It is utter non-sense that shareholders were not adequately informed unless they were living under a rock for over 25 years .

Predictions of climate Armageddon have been used to further political objectives and the UN has admitted their strategy but
fossil fuel companies are under no obligation to second guess the political agenda of governments or some scientists acting as a clique to stifle debate with charges of denier or other bullying tactics .
The court case is nothing more than a bizarre attempt by some broke California cities (using tax payer cash ) to extort cash from companies that produce and sell vitally important products in the world’s economy .

In other words…. Local and internationally renowned scientific authorities aiding and abetting the state of California in this sham hearing will be Ninth Circuit….. U.S. District Judge William Alsup, Noaa and IPCC. A scientific consensus ruling is anticipated.
