RAKOOI just as with the tidal gages, you have either missed or chosen to ignore the main point of the article. That is fraud. NASA researchers have altered data in order to support a political movement. Since they have done so on tax payer money, under current laws they could be and should be prosecuted for fraud.
I will again press the question why do these researchers alter the data. The only possible reason is that these people know that the unaltered data doesn’t support the cause. The fact that these people know unaltered data doesn’t support the climate change movement is one of the best indications that the entire movement is bogus.
The article is about all of Antarctica and you zeroed on West Antarctica. There have been a number of studies indicating that the West Antarctica ice sheet has active volcanic vents under it. If you put volcanic activity under ice, it is going to have an impact. One thing that tends to validate the geological explanation is only 10% of the Antarctic is showing signs of instability. If it were a climate event, more of the continent would be involved. Geothermal event are more localized.
Climate alarmists hate Plate Climatology because it provides more reasonable explanations.
With your statement on melt water, you are again attributing an event to climate change that couldn’t possibly be caused by just a one or two degree rise in temperature.
