Biden administration climate ‘czar’ John Kerry declared Thursday that he would like to see American taxpayers fronting reparations for past pollution.
In an interview with the Washington Post, Kerry said “it would be great” if American taxpayers could step up to their reputation as being “the largest humanitarian donor in the world.” [emphasis, links added]
While Kerry can no longer avoid agreeing that China is the world’s biggest polluter, he avoided further questions on pressing the Communist state on its emissions by saying he had COVID and “couldn’t quite finish those conversations.”

Kerry further stated that the green agenda must “accelerate”:

He also expressed disappointment that the conflict between Russia and Ukraine has “altered the dynamics of the transition we were really ramping up to,” and given ammunition to detractors who can now argue that the green agenda is being implemented “too fast.”

Reparations for what specific, documented, provably climate change caused or enhanced event?
The output of an unverified and unvalidated climate attribution model is not “documentation”.
Under much more competent leadership than they have now, Canada backed out of the Kyoto Treaty. I read many articles written at the time in Europe explaining Canada’s action. One of the major explanations given was that Canada didn’t have a history of colonization. It took a long time for me to figure out how such a history had anything to do with a treaty to address global warming. Many European liberals felt guilty about their past colonization and wanted to pay reparations. However, such measures had zero chance to make it through the European parliaments. A way to implement reparations was to have them hitchhiking on the global warming movement. This is not the only motive today. There are also those believing in socialism where those who earn what they have are forced to transfer it to the people who have not.
I do believe in helping the developing nations build their own wealth, but there are two obstacles. One, is that aid to these countries often ends up in the pockets of dictators or dishonest leaders. Haiti has received billions of dollars in foreign aid after their earthquake but has failed to rebuild. The second obstacle is that the western nations are imposing limits on developing fossils fuel resources. These resources are critical to building a modern economy.
Lets see Kerry go live in a Grass or Mud Hut and lets see him walk to all his meetings and use Gretas Sailboat to cross the Oceans and lets see him survive on all that plant based junk they want to force upon us over this whole Global Warming/Climate Change Scam
