Activists Melt Down After Trump Omits Climate Change From Earth Day Memo

trump earth day easterPresident Donald Trump’s Earth Day message Monday does not mention climate change but does tout American jobs and the U.S. economy.

Trump’s message touted the president’s land management reforms and efforts to protect the U.S. water supply.

“On this day, we reaffirm our responsibility to protect God’s wondrous creation for future generations,” the president noted in his message. Trump’s Earth Day memo didn’t hit the right mark for some activists.

Obama-era appointee Andrew Weinstein took offense to Trump’s message.

“Remember when @realDonaldTrump issued a statement on Holocaust Remembrance Day that didn’t mention the Jewish people or anti-Semitism?” he said in a tweet Monday that has since been taken down. “Well, today he issued a message for #EarthDay that doesn’t mention climate change.”

Former President Barack Obama appointed Weinstein to the Committee on the Arts and the Humanities.

One activist writer claimed the president’s message betrayed the real meaning for Earth Day. “Trump’s Earth Day message completely ignores the point of Earth Day,” former Media Matters for America writer Oliver Willis wrote in a tweet that included a link to an article dinging Trump for ignoring climate change.

Others chimed in with similar sentiments. “.@realDonaldTrump you’re bad for the planet because your policies are antithetical to sustainability and conservation, but also you’re full garbage doo doo. Happy #EarthDay,” activist Nathasha Rothwell said in a tweet Monday to her followers.

Environmentalists, media pundits, and Democrats often criticize Trump for expressing skeptical positions on global warming.

The Washington Post, for instance, claimed in a 2018 editorial that Trump is “complicit” in Hurricane Florence while CNN political analyst John Avlon tried to tie the president’s decision to repeal Obama-era environmental regulations to the severity of extreme weather.

Global warming is a total non-sequitor when it comee to Earth Day. GW/climate change has nothing to do with science, the environment nor even helping people anywhere. It is all about policy, political power and control. Ignore this crud at every possible opportunity.

Trump deliberately doesn’t mention climate change on Earth Day. Gotta respect him.
I am disgusted by the chickens who offer homilies and platitudes when confronted by the media. They can’t handle the truth responsibly. They cower instead.

It over the top of being ridiculous for President Trump to acknowledge something he disagrees with. It is like expecting the NRA to make a statement on the value of gun control or the Pope to issue a statement on the value of being an atheist.

This tantrum that the environmental left throws every time President Trump doesn’t mention their cause is nothing more than a publicity gimmick.

Why would President Trump comment on a proven overblown hoax .
Global warming had to be changed to climate change and the public is supposed to decode the liberal gibberish designed to never be wrong .
Of course climate changes and no matter what the alarmist con-artists claim humans are not going to have any real effect .

President Trump is a credible source of truly sensible ideas about climate. It does not go around the bush, nor waste time on sensationalist proposals to supposedly fight climate change, against which it is impossible to fight. When will we get rid of that terrible and crazy presumption? Instead of spending time and resources on “combating” Climate Change, proposals should be made to mitigate its effects, or to make adaptation to it more plausible. There are two ideas that must be banished: that of uninterrupted global warming, of which man is guilty; and that of the possibility of combating Climate Change. In the first place, the earth neither warms nor cools indefinitely; it is not in the current moments when it has warmed up the most, nor is it the first time that it has done so. In addition, today we have evidence that clearly indicates that the earth cools. But it’s not going to get cold indefinitely either. And whether it is hot or cold, we can do nothing to avoid it, nor is it in our hands to provoke one thing or the other. President Donald Trump is not proving that he is a friend or an enemy of the climate, things that he knows very well that it is impossible to be, but that he is a friend of man, and that he wants to ensure for that man that he so much appreciates, the best possible future. Take the climatic alarmists, is to make man fail, is to lead humanity to a dead end, to folly. Support the position of President Trump, related to the climate issue, is to travel along a path that will enable us all to face the required rationality, Climate Change. Let’s put our feet on the ground, as President Trump has them, and let’s be quixotic that they do not defeat any monster.
