President Trump’s executive action Tuesday to begin unraveling the Clean Power Plan may also signal America’s de facto exit from the landmark Paris climate treaty — former President Barack Obama’s signature environmental achievement.
The Clean Power Plan, the first set of national limits on greenhouse gas pollution from power plants, is crucial to the U.S. meeting President Obama’s pledge to cut emissions by at least 26 percent by 2025.
While Mr. Trump has yet to formally pull out of the Paris deal — a nonbinding agreement with no enforcement mechanisms other than public shaming — his move Tuesday essentially guarantees the U.S. won’t meet the ambitious target.
“It was extraordinarily unlikely we would’ve met President Obama’s Paris pledge under the best of circumstances. But clearly, if the Trump administration goes through with what’s on the table so far, it will be impossible to meet the pledge,” said Stephen Eule, vice president for climate and technology at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Institute for 21st Century Energy.
The Clean Power Plan, which was stayed by the Supreme Court last year and has not gone into full effect, calls for a 30 percent reduction in carbon emissions from the power sector by 2030, and would greatly shrink coal’s share of electricity generation in the process.
The Paris treaty didn’t achieve much for the IPCC. It was a pretty picture hiding cracks in the wall. It endorsed China increasing CO2 emissions until 2030. The headline should read “President Trump gives United Nations the finger”.
With or without the Paris agreement the USA was never going to commit climate control suicide. The important thing is the USA is now officially not going to get shaken down by the climate hustle industry promoted by the UN globalists .

The call to create a “neutral “enquiry is nothing more than a transparent way to bury this for 3 years and hope to bump off witnesses or win the next election so this massive this spy scam is forgotten .
The Clinton ring leaders made some very big mistakes by underestimating the anger of citizens fed up with self dealers and the do nothing Washington elite . They thought they could spy on their opponent and know one would have a clue if they won .
The Paris Agreement was another arrogant self righteous attempt to screw the public and it will fail . How does a $Trillion dollar expenditure not get approved by the peoples representatives ? Weasel words about an unenforceable agreement not being a Treaty unenforceable unless approved by Congress just doesn’t cut it . Leave it in place and Democrats will make retro payments . Vote on it now and punt it for good .

Our demise has been put on hold by President Trump and this makes the globalist angry. Yes they want the Paris agreement, no fossil fuel, more job killing regulations, the death of capitalism and total micromanagement of everyone. The defeat of Hillary has halted globalism, at least temporarily; and given new life to American exceptionalism. The hatred of business and any success it may have highlights the contempt Obama has for America; it’s a cancer that continues to live in most journalists and ALL liberal democrats.

The architecture of this treaty exposed it for exactly what it was. A globalist plan to replace successful free market economics with failed centralized political and wealth distribution, AKA, SOCIALISM. In the process science was corrupted and used as the socialist thug’s blunt instrument to fight the dirty street wars. Perhaps the sorriest part is the way political leftists used our own tax dollars (in trillions) to fund this fraud while indoctrinating the media in a way that would make Joseph Goebbels blush.
I wish Trump would not only say”no”to this corruption, but explain and expose it to the public as he has broken it down before the for other bill signings and official rulings. Yes, it will make the leftist’s blood boil, but truth is a bitch.
Justin Trudeau said that he admired the efficiency of China’s government. Embarrassing. Trudeau’s Liberal party has a majority in the House of Commons, which is as close to a dictatorship that you’ll ever find in western democracy. Canada now has a carbon tax that will increase annually for 5 years. Makes one wonder why the IPCC praised China’s participation in the Paris treaty, when China made virtually no commitment or sacrifice.
