The eastern U.S. is forecast to see “several rounds of Arctic cold” through early February, according to meteorologists.
While the western U.S. is forecast to stay warm and dry, the National Weather Service (NWS) forecasts at least a 50 percent chance the Northeast and Great Plains will see frigid winter weather starting from Feb. 3 to 7.
The most northern reaches of Wisconsin and Minnesota, of course, have an 80 percent chance of below normal weather, which is not exactly great news given those areas are already well-below freezing.

But Americans living east of the Rocky Mountains can also expect a burst of cold weather before the timetable laid out in the NWS forecast.
Weather.us meteorologist Ryan Maue said a “polar vortex” spinning over Hudson Bay will put the eastern U.S. in a deep freeze over the next five days.

Temperatures in D.C. are expected to drop slightly over the next couple of days, warm up, then drop again by the end of the week.
Tuesday morning could even see some snow during rush hour, The Washington Post reported.

No one has defined the ideal global climate or why it should remain constant. Before the industrial revolution , climate changed . Warmist angst implies that Earth’s climate is being harmed by 7 billion consumers. Cool is preferable to warm? That is a subjective call.

Do any of those papers specify how much of the warming human CO2 is responsible for? 1% or 99%? Impossible. No one can quantify the entire carbon cycle.
As for my quip about the UN/IPCC, they were very close to receiving a new revenue stream from America. Not now.
Yes, the only industrialized country in the world is not accepting the prevailing science (from scores of scientific authorities and disciplines) and from from becoming a global leader in this century’s biggest industry — renewable energy.

This is such an interesting forecast in that it is almost the exact opposite of what is forecast for NYC through this coming Sunday, with temps normal to slightly above normal. So, I guess we’re on the 50% side of warming, not on the arctic, bone-chilling one. Too bad, I was so hoping for a return to the truly arctic conditions of early January!
