SPOTLIGHT: The most reputable publishers imaginable are misinforming the public about basic geology.
BIG PICTURE: Last September, a book titled The Paris Agreement on Climate Change: Analysis and Commentary appeared. Five people are listed as editors, four of whom are lawyers. Two teach at universities. Another two are United Nations’ legal officers.
These people aren’t lightweights. You’d expect them to be in possession of elemental facts.
Nevertheless, not one of these editors objected to a blatant falsehood in the Foreword to this book. It’s hard to find a more distinguished publisher than Oxford University Press, but none of its editorial team caught it, either.

The Foreword is written by Christiana Figueres, the former head of the UN’s climate treaty. In paragraph three she declares:
In fact, the human impact on the planet has been so profound that geologists recognize the end of the Holocene era and the beginning of the Anthropocene era.
This is nonsense. As I mentioned last week, the International Commission on Stratigraphy is responsible for delineating geological periods. There is an official, established process by which such matters get decided.
In recent years, activists external to that process have argued that a new geological epoch should be declared in recognition of the effect human beings are having on the planet. So far, that hasn’t happened. Lobbying is one thing. A definitive change-of-course is something else.
The Commission’s website contains a full-color official chart. The latest version of that chart is dated 2018/07 – this month. Its top left corner makes it clear we remain in the Holocene. The word ‘anthropocene’ does not appear.
There’s nothing complicated about this. Figueres doesn’t say that ‘some geologists argue’ the Holocene has ended. She falsely states that geologists per se “recognize” its termination.

Manmade Global Warming alarmism is purely a political tool devised by a group of left-wing totalitarians called ‘Fabians’. (Their symbol is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Look them up on the net. They claim they’re “just a discussion group”.)
During the last half century and more, the Fabians have gradually infiltrated the hierarchies of organisations of all descriptions – political and otherwise – across the entire world. This subversive and highly successful infiltration has come to be known as “The Long March Through The Institutions”.
Its home is the United Nations (note that the guilty party caught lying in this case is Christiana Figueres,a former UN climate official) and its principal subsidiary is the European Union.
Anyone with eyes to see has long since recognised that the major media organisations too have been infiltrated by Fabians. There are fewer and fewer sources of news untainted by their influence.
This has been one of the most vitally important aspects of their agenda, since the first objective of any totalitarian movement is the control of information.
If they control what we know, they control what we think.
The Fabian media – in this case, ‘Oxford University Press’ – no longer report facts. They manufacture stories in accordance with a centralised script and are thus able to manipulate and even manufacture ‘public opinion’.
In other words, we think we’re making rational informed decisions based on ‘the facts’ but the truth is, ‘the facts’ we’re relying on are largely artificial – just distortions, distractions, and misrepresentations.
Almost all the mainstream media have been feeding us such falsehoods, subtle and otherwise, for many years now. Societies worldwide have been steered politically leftward as a direct result. The Fabian goal is complete and absolute control of every individual human life and, if you watch carefully, you’ll see that our individual liberties are being eroded slowly but surely, day by day.
This is not accidental or simply circumstantial; it’s coldly deliberate.
Be careful what you believe.
The price of freedom is eternal vigilance.
Climate change is a perfect tool for the Fabians. To solve the “crisis” there have been serious proposal to control what we drive, the type of transportation we use, what we eat, what pets we have if any, the temperature of our homes, our investments, and what we say and believe.
We don’t live in the “Anthropocene”, we live in the “Tontocene”, the age of stupid!
