End of Snow? Don’t tell that to anyone living in the Northern Hemisphere

In 2014, the NY Times said warmer winters meant an end to snow. That’s because rising temperatures were turning snow into rain. They even found a scientist to back up the ridiculous claims in their fake news op-ed.

So following along with their logic, the planet should be having a scarcity of snow since that four-year-old forecast.

After all, higher temps mean more rain and not more snow? The problem for the alarmists is that it’s not happening, including Tokyo.

Tokyo records lowest temperature in 48 years, Japan

The Japan Meteorological Agency has issued a very rare low-temperature advisory for capital Tokyo as cold air has started affecting the country on Wednesday, January 24, 2018. This is the first such warning for Tokyo in 33 years, officials said, adding the cold weather will continue until Saturday, January 27. By Thursday morning, the temperature in Tokyo dropped to -4 °C (24.8 °F), which is the lowest this city has seen in 48 years.

Or that Tokyo has seen the highest number of ambulance calls in 80 years.

Tokyo’s ambulance service has experienced its busiest day in more than 80 years, officials said Thursday, amid icy conditions as the Japanese capital shivers through its coldest temperatures in decades.

“Generally, we receive more calls in winter. But we think the combination of influenza, heavy snow and cold weather contributed to the record high number,” a fire department spokesman told AFP.

So how do the NY Times and other left-leaning outlets explain so much snow across the Northern Hemisphere? They blame it on global warming. So if it’s too warm for rain to become snow, how do they explain record cold temps that leads to more snow? Their computer models can’t even get cloud cover correct.

That’s when they trot out feedback loops and water vapor computer models (yes, they have models for everything to keep their scam going), and scary maps with missing data, cherry-picked data, or no data.

Not everyone subscribes to this silliness, but those most dependent on grants/aid from government agencies, subsidies from non-profits, handouts from activist Super PACs, or largesse from some left-wing billionaires tend to nod up and down like pigs at a trough.

Even the global elites in Davos, Switzerland, who want you to lower your carbon footprint even as they increase theirs, have been ‘humbled‘ by the massive snowfall at the ski resort. They also wholeheartedly endorse a carbon tax (that they can afford but most people can’t).

They came to lecture the world on climate change by flying into Davos in 1,000-plus private jets. Message received.
