The United Nations has been forced to pull a video about climate change because greenies violently objected to its attempts to be funny about a subject they considered far too serious for levity.
According to Climate Home News:
Viewers complained the advert for its Climate Neutral Now scheme appeared to mock green lifestyle choices and downplay the urgency of the climate challenge.
Published on Facebook and Twitter, the video struck a jokey tone, showing a man trying to give up his car, flights, steak and even breathing to cut his carbon footprint.
“OK, we know that’s slightly impractical, so here’s the real solution,” said the narrator, directing viewers to a revamped website where they can pay to cancel emission reduction credits issued through the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM).

But the greenies hated it:

Bizarre. Would work well as satire, not as a serious commercial. Did @UNFCCC really produce this themselves?
Carbon offsetting may be part of the solution, but it's surely no magic wand but a gamble. Framing it like this, mocking necessary lifestyle changes, is very unhelpful.

So the UN withdrew the video.
This is not, of course, the first time climate alarmists have tried to make a funny video and failed horribly.
The most memorable example was the infamous ‘No Pressure’ video in which schoolchildren who failed to show sufficient zeal about climate change were executed by their teacher – played by the X-Files’ Gillian Anderson – who pressed a button on her desk and caused their heads graphically to explode.
That video too had to be withdrawn after the green activists who made it belatedly became aware that it was sending out the wrong signals about the nature of the environmentalist cause.

There are people who know that the temperature data doesn’t support the anthropological climate change movement so they are actively changing the historical data, current ground data, and satellite data to support the movement. There are others who support this fraud because they hop to accomplish hidden agendas such as an excuse to create new taxes, force de-industrialization, and transfer the wealth of the industrial nations to the developing nations. However, we need to remember that there are other people who have truly brought into this fraud. They really believe this is the greatest threat that humanity has ever faced and if action beyond the Paris Treaty is not taken, the earth faces a disastrous future. These would be the people who think that climate change is too serious of a subject for humor.
The greens truly will not to satisfied until America has been reduced to miserble 3rd World condition with everyone living in grass or mud huts and gathering to make that annual sacrifice of a virgin or a child or someone to the various pagan gods and goddesses they worship while celebrating Earth Day and dancing bowing and leaving offerings to their Earth Deities
