NASA shows sea levels falling since 2016

That’s right, according to NASA, sea levels are going DOWN! This is big news. How come the media hasn’t mentioned it?

NASA satellite sea level observations for the past 24 years show that – on average – sea levels have been rising 3.4 millimeters per year. That’s 0.134 inches, about the thickness of a dime and a nickel stacked together, per year.

As I said, that’s the average. But when you focus in on 2016 and 2017, you get a different picture.

Sea levels fell in 2016, and with all of this winter’s record-breaking snowfall, I wouldn’t be surprised if they decline again this year.

I clicked and zoomed on the above chart as NASA suggested, and obtained a close-up screen shot of sea levels from Jan 2016 to March 2017. This clearly shows the decline.

    Hmmmm…

In Al Gore’s first film he tells the audience that, due to global warming, melting ice could release enough water to cause at 20-foot rise in sea level “in the near future.”

    So, let’s do the math…
    20 feet X 12 inches per foot = 240 inches
240 inches divided by 0.134 inches per year = 1,791 years
So, given a linear increase, Al’s “near future” will occur in 1,791 years.

According to Gore, the deadline to save the planet has passed. Sooooo…we are now witnesses to Armageddon. It’s nothing like Revelations. Yawn.

      ONCE AGAIN!
…taking a tiny detail and blowing it out of proportion!
      2014 was the warmest year,
      until 2015 was the warmest
      …until 2016 was the warmest.
      ..
the dramatic increase in Temps. means much greater EVAPORATION to the point where the altitude of the Troposphere has increased.
      .
The 270 fresh water lakes of the world have increased in volume.
      All
      that water
      takes time
      getting to the sea !
      It is a big world.

as the article admits, the average sea level is increasing at an increasing rate over the long haul !

…Ahhhhh, like CO2 only being 0.04% (400 ppm) of the earth’s atmosphere yet crediting it for having profound effects on retaining heat?

Face it, blowing tiny details out of proportion is the stock and trade of the eco-left. You’ve just been called out at your own game.

… Yes, but only after the fraudulent “adjustments” made to the data.

“as the article admits, the average sea level is increasing at an increasing rate over the long haul !” Sorry, but that’s Complete and Utter Nonsense! See for yourselves. Sea levels are “increasing” at an ever slower rate. The complete opposite of what drewski-ooni claims.

Rakoon, like socialism, your info is more agitprop – every graph can turn the corner – here is a radial idea – what if the land itself was falling? Had yo considered that? Stuff moves all the time….

This question has been asked and answered many times, but I’ll do it again. Why has it been necessary for the alarmists to make fraudulent “adjustments” to the data. The answer is of course that the real data doesn’t support the political climate change cause.
