This marks the latest event in a string of protests by climate activists, impacting famous works of art.
Protesters tried to glue themselves to the glass covering Vermeer’s “Girl with a Pearl Earring” and others threw tomato soup on Van Gogh’s “The Sower” and one of his Sunflowers paintings.
Those works were covered.
All this comes ahead of the COP27 climate change conference in Egypt, set to take place starting on Sunday.

Impossibility???????? Temps have flatlined for two decades. We’ve got a better chance of cooling from the next Milankovitch cycle.
Alan, you are talking reality mate and the CC zealots are tone deaf to that. There is a greater force at play with temperatures on Earth and it’s the warm and cool cycles that have been in effect for millions of years. The latest indications led by low Sun spot numbers is that the current warm period is coming to an end which means the next cool period is about to start.
This is what mankind should be preparing for. Windmills and solar panels won’t do much for us if there’s a lot snow around and many cloudy days. The best electricity generator will be nuclear and the sooner we embrace this the better – for saving lives when it’s cold.
I thought superglue and its solvent were made from petroleum, so should be banned – well, at least ban the solvent.
