As someone who grew up in the scientific community, I understand that many scientists consider themselves to be gods who control fate and destiny – when in fact they are simply civil servants seeking a secure source of funding. The problem is that many of them actually believe their own delusions.

I’ll repost what I have done in the past. In the mid 1980’s the Union Of Concerned Scientists had taken up the cause of nuclear disarmament. I received a lot mail from them, I don’t know why. They said that the world was just five minutes from midnight when a nuclear holocaust would end the world. At that time they also issued a “Reprieve.”
Attempting to get me to join and unaware of my science degrees, they said you didn’t have to be a scientist to join. Their long time incompetence sure shows that.
