While this came out on Newsmax in Oct. 2023, I recently had a chance to watch it, and think visitors to this site will enjoy it as well. Knowledgeable guests, easy-to-understand answers, and zero pressure to think one way or another. The documentary (it’s less than an hour) uses empirical evidence, challenges the ubiquitous consensus (anathema to science), and explains the issues so any layperson can understand. Enjoy! –CCD Editor
A Climate Conversation rejects the climate of extremism in favor of a constructive debate on climate change.
Devised and produced by geophysicist Walter Johnson and filmmaker Colton Moyer, A Climate Conversation offers viewers a welcome opportunity to reach a consensus based on shared values of environmentalism and humanitarian compassion.
The film features scientists and economists with deep expertise in the subject of climate change.
Radio host Kim Monson of The Kim Monson Show moderates the film. In plain English, Kim asks the most elemental questions at the core of the climate debate:
Is global warming a threat to human flourishing, and is it likely to lead to catastrophic consequences for mankind?
Is the warming trend we’re experiencing unprecedented in world and human history, and is it already causing hurricanes and forest fires that threaten our way of life?
What is the cost to achieve Net Zero in the United States?
What is the availability of natural resources necessary to create fossil-fuel-free electricity, and what are the costs in human terms?
Is it true that there is a consensus among scientists that climate change poses an existential threat to humanity?
A note about the film’s funding: This documentary was entirely funded from Walt Johnson’s personal retirement account. There is no “darK’ money or hidden funding. There’s more to discuss, and Walt is hoping others who feel the same way will support the effort so he can produce additional projects.
Why use a long debunked fraudulent unpublished blog graph that misrepresents the sources?
Berner et al 2001 actually REFUTES Wrightstone’s false claim that there is “no correlation between CO2 and temperature”
Berner et al 2001:
“there is indeed a correlation between CO2 and paleotemperature, as manifested by theatmospheric greenhouse effect”

CO2 can be a climate cg hange feedback]
The effect is small and very long term
Ocean temperature changes lead changes in atmospheric CO2
CO2 can also be a climate forcing
The effect is moderate and short term
CO2 changes lead surface temperature changes
These are two different climate change processes
Few conservatives seem to understand them
I’m from New Zealand, so pardon me for not knowing Kim Monson, who did a superbly understated presentation BTW. Neither did I know of any of the scientists who spoke so well. This covered many things superbly. The style was easy to follow. I suspect that would be the case for many who don’t dig deep into this subject, as I have for the past 40 years as an interested layman. It was a pity that they didn’t take the opportunity to point out that all of the stuff coming out of the chimneys was actually H20 and not CO2! All in all, I am going to recommend this to people who have been misled their whole lives. Now there is a scary thought!
I consider this film to be among the best at revealing the facts on climate and so-called climate change. It should be made available to all schools for our young people to watch so that they gain an understanding of what climate change is and how CO2 benefits humans and animals.
