The person just one octogenarian heartbeat away from the presidency has long passed the point of being taken seriously by a majority of Americans, as she has babbled and cackled her way through her meaningless job, at which she has apparently accomplished exactly zero in more than two years. During Vice President Kamala Harris’s comments at the recent “Aspen Ideas: Climate Conference” in Miami Beach, the veep busted out what I’m sure she thought would come across as pleadingly serious.
I mean, check out that look on her face. Professionalism prohibits me from saying something snarky about looking constipated, of course, by I digress. [Ahem.]
Harris told the gathered faithful about her alleged discussion with young Kool-Aid drinkers climate activists who allegedly told her about how they were struggling with “climate mental health” issues.
No, really. Ready? Don’t miss the melodramatic soap opera-ish gesturing, it’s awesome.
One of the young leaders was talking to me about climate mental health. I said ‘Tell me what’s going on with your peers.’ Climate mental health.
I said ‘I think I understand that, but unpack it [rolling-eyes emjoji] for me. She talked about how her peers are thinking about it, and one example is whether when they’re ready, could they start a family. Worried about what that would mean. And the stress of it.
They were talking about it in terms of their peers trying to figure out if they’re gonna have to get a job and whether they’re gonna have to make a living, but what can they do and how can they adapt their education that they’re having now to their activism?

Where to begin?
Let’s first pick the low-hanging fruit. How revealing was the notion of college students stressing about how they’re going to exist in the real world?
That they’re actually going to have to make a living? And most absurdly, if they’re going to be able to squeeze making a living into their all-important activism schedule.
Heritage Foundation research fellow Delano Squires rebuked Harris, tweeting:
‘Climate mental health’? We are being led by some of the most fearful, neurotic, and narcissistic people in history. Pack animals typically put those types way in the back. In this country, that dysfunction is part of their appeal.
Nailed it.
Earth science professor Dr. Matthew M. Wielicki slammed Harris and other climate activists as responsible for stressing kids, not the silly “existential threat to mankind” silliness that the left continues to peddle.
Climate alarmism is mental health abuse of young people. Many of my students also expressed concern about having children because the alarmists have convinced them the planet is ending. This will be the lasting legacy of climate alarmism.
And there it is, isn’t it?
The Bottom Line
We’ve officially reached the point where assumed otherwise intelligent college kids are openly talking about some kind of ginned-up “climate mental health” ridiculousness to the point of stressing out over whether they’re even going to be able to start a family.
Think about that.
And while you’re thinking about it, look no further than the climate alarmists who’ve spent years indoctrinating young Americans about a made-up pseudoscience that they’ve never seen or experienced, as would never have even heard about it if it weren’t for the efforts of the rabid left — which is now wholly embraced by the Democrat Party and the liberal sock-puppet media.
