Weather commentator Bill Nye recently admitted that his climate change crusades have proved unfruitful.
What did he say?
Speaking with Salon’s Jeremy Binckes, the famed “Science Guy” declared: “I am a failure.”
“The United States has now got the head of the EPA who wants to close the EPA. It’s [been] completely ineffective!” Nye explained, noting his shows and books that warn of the dangers of climate change.
Nye, 61, criticized the fossil fuel industry as the key driver behind climate change skepticism.
“The problem has been the fossil fuel industry is so well-funded. Even these guys…with kids and grandkids have lost sight of what the consequences of introducing the idea that scientific uncertainty, plus or minus a couple percent, is somehow the same as doubt about the whole thing, plus or minus 100 percent,” Nye said. “And that’s wrong.”
What are Nye’s credentials?
Nye talks a big scientific game, but the biggest scientific accomplishment atop his resume is a 1990s kids TV show about science. He does not hold a college degree in a scientific field. Rather, he has a mechanical engineering degree from Cornell.
Since his kid’s show, Nye has mostly written books, lectured, given talks about science and appeared on cable news shows to discuss climate change.
His most recent show, which appeared on Netflix, received not-so-good reviews because it contained hardly any science and mostly propagated progressive politics and cultural ideas.

Excellent point Amber. The Climate Change Agenda people have Billions of dollars of OUR money to use for THEIR cause, dwarfing any funding of dissent. Bill is not upset that the fossil fuel industry “is so well-funded”, he is angry that they are funded AT ALL, and that it is legal for them to voice alternative opinions.
“The problem has been the fossil fuel industry is so well-funded.” So well funded? In actuality the alarmists are funded about 100 times more. The reason your a “loser”, is because your promoting something that is not real.

This $68 million is counterbalanced by $22 million for conservative think tank efforts supporting global warming activism. That leaves a net of merely $46 million among 91 conservative think tanks opposing global warming activism.
Even though $46 million is far short of the $1 billion claimed by Goldenberg, $46 million may still seem like a large amount of money. It is only a drop in the bucket, however, compared to the money raised and spent by groups supporting global warming activism.
Two environmental activist groups – Greenpeace and The Nature Conservancy – raise more than $1 billion cumulatively per year. These two groups raise more money than the combined funding of the 91 conservative think tanks identified in Brulle’s paper. Just as importantly, these two groups raise money solely for environmental causes and frequently advocate for global warming restrictions. Their $1 billion is not diluted addressing issues such as economic policy, health care policy, foreign policy, etc.
Five environment-specific groups alone raise more than $1.6 billion per year (Greenpeace, The Nature Conservancy, World Wildlife Fund, National Wildlife Federation, and the Sierra Club). All five focus solely on environmental issues and are frequent and prominent advocates for global warming restrictions. When global warming activists claim global warming skeptics receive the lion’s share of funding in the global warming debate, they are lying through their teeth.”

Nye comes painfully close to revealing his true Climate Change motivation – his hatred for free market economics, referred to here as the “fossil fuel industry”. Drop the first two words and just keep “industry”, and the real motive is clear. Climate Change is simply the surrogate for latter day leftists like NYE to advance their political agenda.
Note to Nye: You’re failing with the lies. If you really want to promote the agenda of world socialism just have the intellectual honesty to say so. Debate your argument upon its own merit. Of course, that violates the teachings of everyone from Marx to Alinsky, so good luck…
Warmists rely heavily on the cult of celebrity worship. Their knowledge is paper thin but glossy, like the thin ice AGW has been skating on. The Hockey Stick graph is toast, so is the 97% concensus. The money will stop flowing and the circus will fold its tents.

I wouldn’t worry about Nye . could a return to comedy , ball room dancing or even his only academic vocation mechanical engineering be in the cards as he re-examines the colors of his parachute .
Big oil didn’t sink the over exaggerated global warming scam
the truth did . What’s remarkable is the public listened to the
false science , doomsday prediction and forked over $Billions for so long .
The integrity of science was put at risk by corporate welfare bag men , conman promoters and governments wanting a piece of fresh cake .
The only thing that is keeping many of these actors from getting a GO TO JAIL card is the false “science” of some discredited models .
Promoters that pursue the scam now with the full knowledge

Nye’s education in mechanical engineering includes enough mathematical training to follow the descriptions of the climate models intelligently. One does not need a degree in “climate science” to have an intelligent opinion on the climate models either pro or con.
So Nye is a pro-carbon tax con man.
True enough, if he actually looked critically at the difference between climate models and reality. A little simple math would reveal the divergence from reality.
