On his Sunday show, CNN host Fareed Zakaria devoted the final segment to interviewing 15-year-old Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg, giving her an unchallenged forum to promote her alarmist views on global warming.
Thunberg — who gained attention by skipping school for three weeks to draw attention to her cause — claimed that “climate change” is the “biggest crisis humanity has ever faced” and advised viewers to abstain from flying, eating meat and dairy, and receiving new merchandise as Christmas gifts to avoid being “screwed” in the future.
At 10:50 a.m. Eastern, Zakaria introduced the segment by recalling that Thunberg had spoken at the annual COP24 conference in Poland because she “has decided to make it her life’s mission to save the world from climate change.”
He then showed a clip of her as she “spoke truth to power” at the convention by telling them that her future children may wonder why people like them did not act against “climate change” when they had a chance to.
After noting that she had accused adults of not being “mature enough” so far to deal with environmental problems, the CNN host introduced her as he recounted that she had gained attention by refusing to go to school for three weeks so she could protest.
He then served one softball after another inviting her to promote her views.
After she recalled that she had been inspired by the Parkland student activists to skip school to protest, Zakaria soon asked why she decided to become an activist, leading her to declare that “the climate crisis is the biggest crisis that humanity has ever faced, and, if we don’t do anything right now, we’re screwed.”
After the CNN host asked her about what changes she had made in her behavior to set an example, she replied that she had stopped flying on planes, and eating meat and dairy.
Thunberg also declared that she was abstaining from “buying new things,” and that her parents will not be giving her many Christmas gifts because she does not want any.
She ended up lecturing that young people should “hold the older generations accountable for the mess they have created and expect us to live with.”

He’s encouraging this child abuse. This girl’s destiny could have been so much greater were she not deceived. She’s ruining her health (not eating meat and dairy) and her life over this – as are so many others. They are teaching kids that man’s puny yearly emissions of CO2 determines climate. It’s a ****able lie. Nothing she does or doesn’t do will have any impact on climate whatsoever.

Let’s compare two cases of Swedish high school girls skipping school.
Sweden has been stupid enough to allow immigration. At school a Swedish high school girl was forcibly raped by another high school student, who was an Arab immigrant. Both the school and police said that they needed to sensitive to culture differences so neither the police nor school took any action against the rapist. He totally got away with it. When the girl’s parents refused to send her back school the authorities changed them with a crime.
Now when Greta Thunberg skipped school because of her views of climate change, she was elevated to celebratory status and given an easy form to express her view points despite having no real knowledge of the subject.
What about charging Greta Thunberg’s parents with a crime for her skipping school or giving the rape victim an opportunity to speak on holding rapists accountable for their crimes?
These two stories show that Sweden is a cesspool of morality and logic and is in no position to tell the rest of the world what we should be doing.

This is analogous to the common logical fallacies, “appeal to authority” and “appeal to ignorance”. In this case, both are actually employed by citing a source who has no subject authority and who repeatedly espouses irrelevant actions as supporting arguments. An inadequate effort by Mr. Zakaria.

It is absurd to try to save the world from climate change, because it is something intrinsic to the world. The climate and the world are one and the same. The world would not be a world without climate. The weather does not change on your own, and the climate for yours. World and climate are the same reality.
Climate change is a natural phenomenon being ACCELERATED by human activity. What takes a millennium is occurring in half a century. Have you ever been near an industrial area, or a neighborhood that receives the heat and exhausts of such a place? Have you had to wake up to the smell of coal or cement in your bedroom, and your home covered with those particles? Have you lived in a drought-ridden environment and seen the animals die all around you? Even if it were not called climate change, everybody has a right to a healthy living environment, a healthy planet. The planet deserves respect. If you take time to step out of your cocoon of a comfortable life and see how others are suffering maybe you would learn to care a little more.
