In a new video posted to Triggernometry, Konstantin Kisin and Francis Foster interview Tupy, where he discusses how extreme environmentalism maps onto Christian theology and why we should be optimistic about the future.
He also points out the eerie similarities between the climate religion and traditional faiths:
“On the one hand, you’ve got your Garden of Eden. That’s the world before industrialization.
“You have your devils, who are the fossil fuel CEOs. And you have your saints like Greta Thunberg.
“You have your priesthood, comprised of IPCC scientists. And you even have indulgences like [you did] before Reformation when you are allowed to fly around the world on a private jet but only as long as you give a few thousand pounds or dollars to a green cause. All those sins are simply washed away.
“And one of the fundamental features of any religion is the apocalypse, the end of days,” he adds. “If the world is going to end, it’s certainly not because we are running out of Natural Resources.”

Is there a religion that promotes gluttony? None that I know of. The Gaia-ists see humanity as a ravenous scourge. No sense trying to justify prosperity for the masses to those hypocrites . How well they live is irrelevant. 8 billion people can’t fly first class to climate conferences.
