Anti-pipeline activists “slayed” a pipeline “snake” outside the White House on Thursday as part of a protest against pipelines in the U.S., calling on the Biden administration to take further action, particularly against the Dakota Access Pipeline.
On Thursday, protesters, some of whom wielded sticks, beat a pipeline “snake” in the nation’s capital. The snake, one activist said, represented “pipelines that are crossing indigenous lands [and] crossing stolen land.”
“As you know this black snack symbolizes the Dakota Access Pipeline, and we just now slayed it, and now we’re giving it back to the White House because we don’t want it on our land,” another activist said before announcing a “victory dance.”
Several activists then gathered around, participating in the “victory dance” around the snake as others beat dreams in the background.
“We came here to bring back the black snake, because if the Biden administration doesn’t want this at their home, then they shouldn’t bring it to ours,” one protester said as another called on the president to shut down pipelines “now.”
Protesters also staged a “die-in” during the protest (pictured), which they said represented “all the people whose lives have been cut short due to COVID-19 and also fossil fuels.”

We need to remember is what the media lets us hear from the “Indigenous folks” is from the extremists among them. As a group they are no different than the rest of us. For example, according to the extremists the word “Indian” is supposed to be forbidden. For awhile my daughter worked as a scientist for an Indian reservation. Her employ badge said “Snoqualmie Indian Tribe.”
I agree, whole heartedly. I grew up near the Six Nations Reservation in Ontario. Our high school sports teams were once the Redmen, now they’re the Wolves. I’d have kept the Redmen moniker, but I wasn’t given a choice. The radicals intimidate the moderates into silence.
Reminds me of the Eco-Freaks up in Oregon few years ago protesting against Logging by pretending to be big Cardboard Bulldozer while others posed as Trees to be Bulldozed down all stupid liberal stunts for the Media Idiots
When even a puppet President like Joe Biden cannot deliver everything these protesters want, one surely must see their demands as excessive in the extreme.
People should have a right to energy security, just as they should have a right to protest even if doing so only makes them look stupid.
Protests thrive on emotion rather than reason. That is why I, despite being of centre-left persuasion over decades, have never been on one and have no intention of starting.
The days when protests and strikes are really necessary are few and far between now, thanks to proper progress made by the left years ago.
If there is an exception to that today, it would be a protest against the usurping of democratic principles by the US Democrats…
Somehow, I doubt these protesters care much about that.

Well, I couldn’t see the picture, but my guess would be it probably contained PETROLEUM products in it’s composition. I’d (also) suggest the emphasis of the “die in” as posed by the activists should be rephrased as “all the people whose lives have been cut short by COVID & LACK of access to fossil fuels.”
