European leaders are quietly building a coalition of countries to pressure the Trump administration to not withdraw from the Paris agreement and meeting with White House officials, looking for the right argument to sway the U.S. president.
A coalition led by Germany, France and Italy has reached out to “Canada and China, as well as African, Latin American and small island states,” according to Politico, to form a group of “like-minded” countries to take advantage of a divided White House.
Diplomats have even spoken to White House officials, framing participation in the United Nations climate deal as a boon for jobs. White House energy adviser George David Banks has already met with European officials on the issue.
Reports suggest Banks sides with staying in the Paris agreement, echoing the stances of Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner. Banks recently held a closed-door meeting on plans for the Paris agreement with energy industry executives.
This group is pushing a plan to weaken Obama’s climate pledge that could include subsidies to energy companies that use carbon capture and storage technology to capture emissions from coal and natural gas power plants.
White House chief strategist Steve Bannon favors ditching the Paris agreement. President Donald Trump promised to “cancel” the Paris agreement on the campaign trail and is working on executive orders to undo President Barack Obama’s climate agenda.
The Paris agreement on greenhouse gas reductions went into effect in November 2016. Obama unilaterally pledged to cut U.S. greenhouse gas emissions 26 to 28 percent by 2025, but the Senate never approved the plan.
Conservatives and skeptical climate scientists have urged Trump to not only ditch the Paris agreement, but to also withdraw from the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
They argue there’s little point in staying in either if Trump plans to roll back all the Obama-era regulations to meet the Paris pledge and stop funding UN global warming programs.
Ivanka and Kushner already intervened to strip language critical of the Paris agreement from a pending executive order targeting Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) global warming rules.
I’ve been quiet about the subject, but here goes. If diesel VW’s were “spewing”, why did it take so long to discover? Who complained about their exhaust? No one. Fully compliant diesels weren’t supposed to perform like Vee Dubs. That set off suspicion, so they went mobile with some test equipment. Busted! Billions in fines levied in numerous jurisdictions and they’re not done yet.
What happened when Mann and Jones were caught cooking the data? No fines but more grants. Hypocrites.
As long as we’re talking about malfeasance here, why is CONFLICT OF INTEREST never discussed when leftists claim that 97% of scientists agree with the man-made climate agenda?
1. What percentage of the dubiously chosen 97% accept large amounts of politically directed climate grants ($$$$$) that are clearly predicated on bolstering a predetermined outcome?
2. What percentage of the dubious chosen 97% are themselves academic left-wing political activists with a predisposition toward scientific/political bias?
3. What percentage of the above groups 1 and 2 OVERLAP?
4. What percentage of the remaining dubious 97% would privately admit that they are pressured or threatened to go along with the demands of the man-made climate change agenda?
Clearly the numbers would be staggering, and if this kind of fraud was propagated by conservatives spending your taxpayer money to fund their schemes, CONFLICT OF INTEREST stories would run 24/7 on all the front pages.
They had to delay their meeting because there was too much gorebull warming white stuff flying around. Maybe she is coming over to see if President Trump will jack energy rates by 2 to 3 hundred % so she doesn’t look like she has sold out Germany .
Another German delusion … control the earths thermostat by a trace gas beneficial to plants and animals . Do these clowns never learn . Next they will be telling people that diesel spewing Rabbits and Jetta’s are emission neutral .

President Trump was elected because people saw through the globalist agenda
and he promised to ditch the unapproved by Congress Paris Agreement . A promise he would be wise to keep . Put the Paris “Agreement ” to a vote like it should have been and see what the peoples representatives have to say . Or save everyone more time and money by just shutting down the largest scientific fraud in history .
Poland for one is not going to play ball and many others who aren’t expecting save the planet cheques will be happy to see the USA show some honest leadership .
Where’s Russia in the list? They just gotta be in there somewhere, otherwise how can the Europeans know how to effectively meddle in US affairs.
