I am sometimes asked why I spend so much time on climate skepticism. Why not just ignore the climate issue and let the climate alarmists have their way at the expense of everyone else, particularly the less wealthy? The full answer can be found in my book, but the short answer is that there is too much at stake for the US and the world not to do everything possible to avoid the imposition of climate alarmist ideology.
It is now clearer than ever that the alarmists have no intention of reaching a symbolic compromise that while unjustified might be livable by the rest of society.
Rather, their apparent intention is to keep pushing the US and other developed countries into a fossil fuel-less society in which all energy used will come from wind and solar or a few other “renewables” but not including either hydro or nuclear.
This is just what the Democratic Party included in its Party platform last year. And if their candidate had won, this is exactly what the US would now be trying to do. She even endorsed Al Gore’s objectives just before the election, perhaps in hopes of added votes from “environmentalists.”
If this had happened, this is a recipe for a financial disaster and probably the end of the US as a global innovator and economic leader. The immediate reason is that their goal of a fully fossil fuel-less society cannot be achieved even if all resources available were spent on it.
Rather, their goal would result in the enslavement of the US economy to this one never achievable and pointless end. Ever more technical and economic resources would be devoted to this end.
And for what purpose? To lessen an alleged threat from catastrophic anthropogenic global warming (CAGW) and stronger extreme weather phenomena that have never been shown to exist. The best available science shows that increased carbon dioxide has no significant effect on temperatures, and CAGW has not happened.
So climate alarmism is not just the biggest scam ever perpetrated on society, but one that would do immense real damages to all the objectives I have for our country, our economy, and the environment.

In the end, most new efforts would be devoted to this one dubious purpose. All fossil fueled power plants would have to be rebuilt at the expense of users. All motor vehicles would have to be replaced by their owners with electric vehicles.
All housing and other buildings would have to use only electricity for fuel and be ever more air-tight and unhealthful. The population would be no better off and increasingly poorer. The government would become ever more powerful and the citizens ever worse off.
In order to avoid using fossil fuels, the all-encompassing electric grid would fail with increasingly regularity and more serious consequences. Electricity would become ever more expensive and unreliable.
Some may think I am exaggerating, but one only needs to look at what has happened in Great Britain, Germany, Ontario, and South Australia to see what would happen here.
And it will happen unless people learn how much is at stake and take a strong stand against this special interest that wants to ruin the energy-using modern world as we now know it for no real purpose at all.

I dont know if this is relevant or why no one talks about it. But since China has a huge supply of rare earth metals needed to make wind turbines and solar panels wouldn’t it be in China’s best interests to sign into the Paris Accord without reducing its CO2 emissions but at the same time to sell necessarily green energy systems to western countries hell bend on destroying their economies so that China can become the globally dominate force in the decades to come? I dont know I’m just a laborer. But I just order Alan’s book from Amazon.ca – looks good.

The science of thermalization and the Maxwell-Boltzmann distribution of molecule energy explain why CO2 does not now, has never had and will never have a significant effect on climate. The people denying science are the advocates for the AGW mistake.
Failing to recognize that CO2 has no significant effect on climate is an egregious mistake but is dwarfed by the potential disasters of what actually does.
The still-rising water vapor is rising about three times as fast as expected from water temperature increase alone (feedback). The rising WV coincides with rising irrigation, especially spray irrigation on fields and lawns. The warming (WV is a ghg) is welcome (countering the average global cooling which would otherwise be occurring) but the added WV increases the risk of precipitation related flooding. How much of recent flooding (with incidences reported world wide) is simply bad luck in the randomness of weather and how much is because of the ‘thumb on the scale’ of added water vapor?

Well put. Likewise, people could easily read the themes of my comments here and surmise that I am obsessed with opposing socialism, as this author essentially outlines. It’s easy to paint climate agenda opposition as paranoid itself, but consider what’s being asked… nothing less than a POLITICAL solution to a phony “scientific” problem. It defies logic and science itself.
Next, look at what socialism requires; the surrender of individual liberties and trust in an authoritarian government to seize and control personal wealth to name but two. Then, consider the abysmal record of socialism in countries that have surrendered such rights. (Take a vacation in Venezuela if you wish.)
It can rightly be argued that modern economies are successful to the extent that they maintain free markets verses socialist policies.
Finally, look at the authors of socialism and read their own words. The entire ideology is built upon acknowledged deception and large scale lies to achieve the necessary ends.
This climate deception is clear for its intended purpose if we merely look at who is pulling the strings while appropriating public funds to support the narrative.
I did take a vacation to Venezuela (Margarita Island) just about the time Chavez took power. They were already in bad shape then. Gasoline was dirt cheap but there were few cars on the road. Most of the cars I saw were on blocks. I asked a taxi driver how this could be, as I thought OPEC membership equalled wealth. The driver replied that Venezuela gets ripped off by one crook after another. This is where my comment meets G’s. Don’t vote for crooks, don’t be a victim.
G. What I do not see in the article or your statement is that the AGW scam is a key part of the long term one-world government plant of the UN, in their Agenda 21, now called 2030 Agenda. Their plan hinges on destroying industry, destabilizing our energy supply, lowering the West’s standard of living, and funneling Western wealth to undeveloped countries to make sure that they never get to develop, forever on the funding teat.
Why do people just pretend that the CO2 scare and the energy policies are either just liberals gone stupid ideologically or its their socialism coming to the surface. The UN one-world government would HAVE to be totalitarian and socialist, which is simply Communism, socialism run by a gang (elite) upper class with the rest of the world as slaves. The more the UN can get people to dabble in socialism, the easier it will be to finish the job when they take over. The Paris Treaty was part of their plan to gain central control over the activities of each country while also upping the funneling of our money to the undeserving.
That sums it up. Better to fight it locally before we have to fight it globally. Electing the Republicans was a well – timed body blow to schemers.
