On Sunday, President Donald Trump spoke at the Turning Point USA Student Action Summit in West Palm Beach, Florida, where he trashed the Green New Deal and all who support the disastrous plan.
“The Green New Deal, I think it’s a wonderful thing I do want to think about it. I want to study it closely. I want to see whether or not we should use airplanes again,” Trump said sarcastically.
“How about the senator from Hawaii, nasty, nasty horrible…what she says is so mean and so angry. She’s not the smartest person on the planet. She wants the Green New Deal, and they informed her that that doesn’t include airplanes. And they said, what are you going to do? And they talked about building a trail to Hawaii,” Trump said.

Back in April, “White House Brief” host Jon Miller responded to a cartoon narrated by House Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), that depicted how “wonderful” the future would be under the New Green Deal.
Miller’s version was both more realistic and not as optimistic.

My fear is that President Trump will continue to make speeches as ineffective as this one. Yes, he is telling it the way it is. Unfortunately he is not emphasizing the things that average American really cares about. He should be talking about the massive job loss that would result from the Green New Deal. He should be talking about the cost fuel and power for homes. He could mention that southern Australia doubled its cost of electricity with green power and Germany tripled it. He should be talking about how everything would be cost more, These and other facts are readily available. He should use them.
Smart and sensible. President Trump is not impressed by the fantasies that, like the Green New Deal, the only thing that could lead to a nation is a resounding failure. Not everyone is able to make proposals. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez does not understand the present at all, so she is not in a position to comment on the future. She tries to understand the future from a present that explains and interprets very badly, and that is absurd. It should be guided by President Trump, on climate issues.
