After years of hearing only the alarmist view on the warmist ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation), a listener put in an FOI request.
He asks:
The document I seek is a list of links to articles related to “global warming”, “climate change”, “CO2” and “coral bleaching” that represent the sceptical view of those respective debates – as presented by the ABC on all its platforms.
I have listened, viewed and searched for years and I’ve not found any sceptical articles on the ABC’s platforms.
The ABC’s response:
I have taken reasonable steps to identify and locate all relevant documents. My search for these documents involved contacting the following relevant people, who in turn consulted with relevant managers and staff within their respective teams:
• Director News• Manager Editorial Policies, News.
I requested that searches be conducted of all hard and soft copy records for documents which fall within the scope of your request. As a result of those searches, no documents were identified.
Must have missed the movie Floodacia like 99.9 % of the planet . Could a Nobel prize be in the works ? Why have waterfront property in an earth quake zone if you are all worried about the great flood ? Hollywood .
I see where Leonardo DiCaprio has produced another propeganda film BEFORE(AFTER) THE FLOOD and if anyone had to realy sit through Kevin Kosners putrid movie WATERWORLD and watch him swimming like a dolphin and having those dumb gills
ABC rhymes with CBC. Luckily we have choices besides government media. Best option is the OFF button.
Couldn’t a propaganda department be more efficiently run by a government communications department ? No need for ABC sucking up tax payer money if they clearly abandon their fiduciary duty and Mission statement which includes :
– broadcast programs of an educational nature ;
-provide an independent service for the broadcasting of news and information regarding local , Australian and overseas events ;
– contribute to public debate concerning issues and matters of importance to Australians .
No where does it say act as a filter and propaganda tool for any religion , cult , or
lobby group .
If they can’t even follow their own Mission Statement and in fact act contrary to it’s principles why do they even exist ?
Scientists agree climate changes and humans must have some impact no matter what they do . However the premise and hypothesis that the earth has a fever is false proven by comparing actual empirical data to formula driven climate models .
That’s what science is supposed to do . Check and recheck the premise of a hypothesis to actual events . When it doesn’t work out you need a new hypothesis .
Didn’t happen . Climate models consistently overstated warming by hundreds of percent .
So yes we are still benefitting from the natural exit of the most recent ice age
and humans are adding to that current trend in a statistically imperceptive amount .
Scientist’s by the tens of thousands do not support the spending of $Trillions
to delay a 1 or 2 degree change that is going to occur as it has in the past from natural variables that are over 99% of the influence on the earths temperature .
ABC why not start educating the public instead of trying to brain wash them with false , misleading and scientifically inaccurate propaganda . What are you afraid of ?
This still wont stop Al Gore and Greenpeace as well as the rest of the eco-freak movment from using this whole idea to make big bucks for them so Greenpeace can keep their ships sailing and their zodiacs well fueled with Fossil Fuel
Of course no managers or staff could find any “skeptical” articles . Ask them about any inappropriate workplace activities and the answer would be the same. You expect confessions?
