Many of the world’s billionaires traveled to a resort town in Idaho last week to discuss, among other things, “climate change,” but it was the manner in which they all arrived — by private jet — that drove most of the criticism.
In fact, private jet traffic to the event in Sun Valley was so dense at one point that the Federal Aviation Administration was forced to ban, temporarily, all other plane traffic on the West Coast, Fox Business Network reported on Sunday.
Officials told Fox News the agency had no choice but to delay other flights from taking off because the airspace congestion in and around the Sun Valley region was too thick.
Meanwhile, the manager of Friedman Memorial Airport, which is located nearby in the Idaho town of Hailey, told NPR before the conference kicked off on Tuesday that he was anticipating 90 private jets.
The confab, which was organized by Microsoft founder and CEO Bill Gates, to which participants took their own private jet so they could discuss the allegedly worsening problem of human-caused climate change drew no small amount of derision and mocking from a number of corporate CEOs who spoke to Fox News.
“Talking climate change on his private jet?” one laughing CEO remarked in reference to Gates.
“So many billionaires in private jets flew to Sun Valley to hear @BillGates rave about climate that the FAA had to stop temporarily shutdown Western air space to other air traffic. No #ClimateHypocrisy here. Move on,” tweeted Steve Milloy, a Fox News contributor who managed the EPA transition for the then-incoming Trump administration and noted “climate contrarian.”

“These people all own oceanfront property that is supposed to be underwater in a matter of a few years. I don’t see them trying to sell to move to a higher elevation. Climate change is another way to control and tax the commoners,” Trinity Baptist Church pastor Ed Sweitzer said.
“I won’t ever take any of them serious on the issue until they give up the private planes and yachts. Until then it is just more BS,” another Twitter user wrote.
“Virtue signalling [sic] at its finest,” said another, while one added, “The climate change restrictions are planned for the masses not for the rich liberal global elite.”
The annual billionaire “summer camp” has been held every year in July since 1983, though it was canceled last year due to the COVID pandemic. The event is sponsored by private investment bank Allen & Company.
“Notable attendees this year included Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, whose public image has taken a hit in recent months over his divorce announcement and reported ties to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein,” Fox Business Network reported, adding that the confab wrapped up on Saturday following a speech by billionaire investor Warren Buffett.
In February, while he was promoting his book, “How to Avoid a Climate Disaster,” Gates said, “I am offsetting my carbon emissions by buying clean aviation fuel and funding carbon capture and funding low-cost housing projects to use electricity instead of natural gas and so I have been able to eliminate it and it was amazing to me how expensive that was, that cost to be green… we’ve got to drive that down.”

What is good for the climate geese is NOT good for the ganders.
Hypocritic billionaires possess huge carbon footprints but want everyone else to reduce emissions.
While most of the world lives in poverty, billionaires insist that we should limit poor countries future access to the products and fuels from oil that are lifesaving, and one of the best ways out of poverty.

Ronald, you read the long list of “Indulgences”, that thing the elite (Kings, etc) in Europe centuries ago from the Bishops so that they could sin and yet get those sins washed away. That is what these billionaires do so that they don’t have to feel guilty about how they live–just toss a few coins to the peasants and then live as you want.
Look at all those Private Jets those Globalists sure did,nt flap their arms and fly there and they did,nt use a Magic Carpet
Any biologists at the multibillionaire CO2 fearmongering club? If so, they might actually learn something about how good and green more CO2 is for the environment. All life dies without CO2. No CO2 – no life. Dummy up billionaires. Thirteen million people a year die every year from energy poverty. Do you know how many die from the climate? Fifty-six thousand (down from five hundred thousand a year, one hundred years ago)
