President Trump said he and Prince Charles gabbed for 90 minutes about climate change — and that the queen’s son did all the talking.
Trump had planned on just a 15-minute chat with the Prince of Wales on Monday as part of his state visit to the UK this week.
“It turned out to be an hour-and-a-half. And he did most of the talking,” Trump said in an interview with Piers Morgan on “Good Morning Britain” that aired Wednesday. “He is really into climate change.”
“What he really wants and what he feels warmly about is the future,” Trump added. “He wants to make sure future generations have a climate that is good climate, as opposed to a disaster. And I agree.”
Trump, who pulled the US out of the Paris Agreement on climate change in 2017, said he insisted to Prince Charles that America “right now has among the cleanest climates there are, based on all statistics, and it’s even getting better.”
The prince, 70, has long spoken out about the impact of climate change and urged world leaders to move toward more sustainable measures during a two-week United Nations conference in 2015.
Later in the interview, Morgan asked Trump, “Do you personally believe in climate change?”
“I believe there’s a change in weather. And I think it changes both ways,”‘ Trump replied. “Don’t forget, it used to be called global warming, that wasn’t working, then it was called climate change. Now it’s actually called extreme weather. Because with extreme weather you can’t miss.”

Didn’t know Prince Charles was such an eminent climate scientist. Oh, he is not!? Probably never took basic physical chemistry or physics. But he read something somewhere, so now he is an expert and can preach to the world about the impending Climate disaster.
In 2009: Charles said: “We have 96 months to alter our behaviour before we risk catastrophic climate change and the unimaginable horror that this would bring”. Well, you don’t get much more graphic than that.
96 months later in 2015, there were few signs of imminent catastrophe, so he moved the goalposts, saying we actually have another 35 years to avert disaster. That would bring us to 2050. In 2050, Charles will be 102. I doubt anyone will be listening to him then, either.
His 90-minutte ‘chat’ with the Donald increased my admiration of Mr Trump. What polte patience from a man who is usually quick on the draw.
I don’t know why anyone listens to the future (?) king. He talks to his plants!
How many great big fat bird blender contracts went to Charles pals ?
Did the prince mention the 10’s of thousands of fuel poverty deaths each year in the UK caused under the pretense of saving the plant policies that benefit the rich and screw the poor .
Somethings just never change in the classes .
Sounds like President Trump listened which was a respectful thing do do as a guest .
Trump should not have let the prince rant for 90 minutes. Trumps should have injected facts that show anthropological climate change isn’t happening, such as the failure of the UN climate models.

This difference of opinion would bes= settled if some public figure would ask an alarmist “Have you ever seen a scientific paper that convinces YOU that 20th century warming was caused primarily by fossil fuels?” When the respondent doesn’t answer the question, and/or is unwilling to subsequently publically provide that paper, the respondent is not basing opinion on science but is subscribing to the climate change religion. The believer is basing belief on what someone said, again not on science.
Exactly. It is a religious cult, with believers and deniers.
We should strive for zero pollutionin a reasonable schedule. We should plan for food to be more expensive whether cooling or warming is in our future.
It is not reasonable to strive for goals with a “zero” in them. These can be had very undesirable impacts. For instance, the goal of missing zero days at work could result in going to work when very sick. Do remember, carbon dioxide is not a pollutant. A colder climate does adversely impact food production. Plants grow slower and there are more frost events and shorter growing seasons. The opposite is true of a warmer climate so there will be more food production. Higher concentrations of carbon dioxide also promote plant growth.
Bonnie Prince Charlie
is about as smart as Edward VIII
Remember that idiot ?
Charlie-baby should calm down before
speaking of something he knows nothing about.
Maybe a pint of ” ouiske ” to calm the nerves.
Trump seems to be about the only politician who recognizes what is going on with the global warming scam. When one term doesn’t make us all scared to death they come up with another term and when that doesn’t work an even scarier term that is now being shoved down our throats by the left-wing media.
