Most Americans are willing to chip in a buck each month to help fight climate change, but they draw the line at $10.
A poll conducted by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research found that 57 percent of Americans would vote for a $1 fee added to their monthly electricity bill to “combat climate change,” but only 28 percent would agree to pay an additional $10 per month.
“To combat climate change, 57 percent of Americans are willing to pay a $1 monthly fee; 23 percent are willing to pay a monthly fee of $40,” said the analysis released Tuesday.
“Party identification and acceptance of climate change are the main determining factors of whether or not people are willing to pay, with Democrats being consistently more inclined to pay a fee.”
The question began with $1, then $10, and rose after that in $10 increments, but a majority of those polled opposed every amount more than $1. By the time the figure reached $100 per month, just 16 percent said yes and 82 percent said no.
Climate change also ranked at the bottom of a list of policy priorities, behind the economy, health care, terrorism, immigration, and energy policy. (SEE ALSO: NBC’s Al Roker Thrilled By Online Poll Showing Climate Concern)
The lack of interest came even though 71 percent agreed that “climate change is happening.” Of those, 45 percent said it was caused “mostly by human activities.”
The survey was conducted Nov. 14-18 with 1,202 U.S. adults 18 and older from all 50 states, with a plus or minus 3.9 percent margin of sampling error.

There is really no evidence at all of any “climate change” beyond its natural variability[1]. I wouldn’t worry about any of it at all, and I wouldn’t spend even one cent on any claimed “remedies.” People who throw tantrums over this issue are mostly scientifically illiterate and ideologically engaged ignorants, political demagogues, and the like. Not the kind of people who deserve respect.

Water vapor (TPW) has increased by twice the amount calculated from temperature increase of the liquid surface water. Both changed slope trend from uptrend to flat about 2002-2005. The flat was interrupted by the el Nino which peaked in Jan 2016. Both TPW and average global temperature are still in downtrend. Global Warming appears to be over.
Is all that snow/rain just bad weather or is the TPW increase a factor?

I seem to have posted this comment to another article somehow. Not sure how I managed that. Sorry.
This if for this article:
Not a penny to those scam artists!
Humans can’t control the climate, we can only respond to it. The poorer we are made by their crooked schemes, the less we’ll be able to deal with any real emergency, if it arises.
I wouldn’t give a nickel to give up US sovereignty to an international entity run by the United Nations, and that’s what “climate change” is all about. It has nothing to do with climate. It I all about redistributing American wealth and destroying capitalism (which is the source of America’s wealth). Anyone donating to fight “climate change” is being swindled. Their money is not going to where they think it is going.
Not only would I not contribute a single dime to “fight climate change” .. I demand these morons PAY ME every month for just suggesting the moronic absurdity of “fighting climate change”.
By their term Green Jobs dose that mean like working at some job for DiCaprio or Gore carrying and deliverying everything from Micro-chips to deck top computers on your bicycle? Bike Messengers when the way of the Pony Express and may cities banned Bicycle messengers after too many accidents and beside bike messengers were rude and wreckless and stupid
AO-C’S “green jobs for all ” slogan gave me an idea. She could start a fashion craze by wearing green jeans. Her fans would create green jobs, buying green jeans and burning their blue jeans in public. The MSM media would give her even more free air time. GREEN JEANS FOR ALL, T-Shirts and hats, too.
Then everyone would know who stood for what. Red Make America Great Again hats versus Green Jeans For All.
Let’s rumble.
Need to get me a yellow vest…..
Futures contracts for power delivered in New York state in 2021 are 30% higher than present rates. Why? NY is closing its coal-fired generators.
Eventually, people decide to move to states where taxes and energy are reasonable. Texas is winning this contest. The warmer climate seems inconsequential. Huh…..
If this data were presented on some talk shows, 57% would be willing to pay a dollar a month would be translated to “the majority of Americans are willing to pay to fight climate change.” The implication would be most Americans would be willing to pay a high price. It is obvious that the majority wouldn’t be willing to pay a 25 cent per gallon surcharge on gas either. Yet, a number of Democratic candidates are running with climate change as one of their main issues. You can bet that the programs they will be proposing will cost considerably more than ten dollars a month.
Lets see the Eco-Wackos and their celeberty supporters put their money where their mouths are and pay a little extra for those jet trips all over the globe and producing all that CO2 and hyporicy
