Brian Flood at Fox News on Monday reported that Politico White House Editor and MSNBC contributor Sam Stein demonstrated a stunning lack of objectivity on Sen. Joe Manchin’s declaration on Sunday that he couldn’t back Biden’s massive socialist spending scheme, the one Biden calls “Build Back Better.”
“A lot to process on the Manchin news but, from a substantive standpoint, it’s just objectively devastating for the planet. The last best chance at climate change legislation is gone,” Stein wrote.

“This tweet is many things but ‘objective’ is not one of them,” conservative Washington Post Writers Group columnist Marc Thiessen responded.
Ron DeSantis spokesperson Christina Pushaw added, “Yes, just shocking that a senator who represents WEST VIRGINIA, where so many of his constituents’ livelihoods would be absolutely wiped out by the Green New Deal, isn’t doing what MSNBC/Politico want him to do.”
Leftists were demanding a “last best chance” for the climate in Bill Clinton’s first year. Talk about moving your goalposts of doom.
Stein doubled down: “Some conservative pushback to this, but this is objectively true, unless, I suppose, if you don’t think climate change is happening or needs addressing,” quote-tweeting the original message.
On Fox News on Monday, Concha called Stein’s tweet “hilarious,” and added this panicky headline from Washington Post pundit Jennifer Rubin: “Manchin deals a devastating blow to Biden and to democracy.” Biden and “democracy” are linked.
Stein also declared it marked a bad December for the president:
After some momentum, an absolute brutal end of the year for Biden.
BBB basically dead
COVID rampant
No clear path for voting rights legislationOn the plus side, infrastructure bill kicking in and jobs market solid. But does the latter get messed up by the pandemic?

Whats real’y Devastating for the Planet is the very same bunch of Nit-Wits trying to save it
Sorry Rosebud but the Earth is Not Fragile
OK, so let’s suppose we have a “Mild” climate crisis and we want to rationally address the situation. INSTEAD of all the panic & wasteful spending on the “Green New Deal,” think about this as an alternative framework: 1.) Let’s have a thoughtful, fully informed & legitimate DEBATE on climate science before we set policy. Look before you LEAP! 2.) Rather than vilifying energy PRODUCERS, collaborate on legislation & regulation to continue to decrease carbon output. 3.) Allow AUTOMAKERS and the market to make decisions on transportation sector changes/transition. That will promote a more sensible allocation of resources & correct direction for vehicle development. 4.) Eliminate subsidies for ALL energy sources, keeping tax incentives for private investment/capital formation and let the MARKET promote innovation, reliability & cost/energy efficiencies. If wind & solar are so VASTLY superior, then PROVE IT! 5.) The U.S government must STOP trying to RIG the financial sector with ESG overburden before you cripple the economy. 6.) Instead of WASTING a HALF BILLION taxpayer dollars on wind & solar, plow that money into R & D focused on FUSION & modular nuclear. That would be a good start. Problem is, as long as ideological FANATICS are setting national energy & environmental policy, then we will increase our risk that American quality of life, regrettably & avoidably will only continue on one trajectory…DOWNWARD!
Forgot one. If the earth continues to modestly warm, than focus on ADAPTIBILITY instead of attempting to control a vast, complex climate system. Wasted effort…
Sure. I’ll adapt by not putting snow tires on my car every November.
I’m not holding my breath.
