British TV host Piers Morgan called out a climate activist about her lifestyle choices, which are not helpful for the planet, as protesters are staging demonstrations across the United Kingdom.
The ongoing protests have been organized by Extinction Rebellion, who want the United Kingdom’s Parliament to take action on climate change.
Demonstrations include clogging roads and blocking bridges with their bodies and other big objects.
Hundreds of protesters have been arrested for causing traffic disruptions, but organizers say they will continue to come out in force for the next two weeks.
Morgan asked Extinction Rebellion’s co-leader Skeena Rathor how she arrived at their studio. Rathor said a car sent by the station had picked her up.
When Morgan then asked her if she had a T.V. at her home and if her children use computers, Rathor said she did not think it was relevant to “the planet emergency.”
“Do you see the problem with all this? You go on about ‘My kids can’t get out of bed because they’re all so terrified,’ I’m not surprised they’re terrified because your mum’s telling them every day the planet’s about to end, and yet, I bet your own carbon footprint, for all the stuff I’ve just mentioned is terrible,” Morgan said.
“So why don’t you give your computer, give up your television, give up your air conditioning, walk your kids to school, get a bike to the studio. Why don’t you practice what you preach?” he added.
Rathor said the problem is not about individual carbon footprints, but it is a “system-wide issue” and said she would not be able to “raise the alarm” about the issue if she did not participate in the system.

Skeena Rathor IS the government, an elected councillor. A member of the Labour party. The progressive left socialist Labour party. The PLP, a party of the left, standing for: A sustainable, inclusive and just society – against economic rationalism and against racism. A socialist and democratic society – policies that are egalitarian and sustainable, party structures that promote fairness and equality regarding gender, race, sexual preference, religion, ethnicity and age.
“Labour councillor Skeena Rathor, who was one of the protesters arrested, said: “We believe in miracles and human genius, but the reality is we are on the threshold of social and climate collapse.” What we believe matters not since government owns “reality”.

It seems to be a very common trait among climate change advocates that it is up to the other guy, or the little guy, to make the sacrifices. If this fraud were as bad as they are claiming it is, it would require everyone develop a small “carbon” foot print. The “system wide issue” is nothing but a collection of individual behaviors.
