During the Third Hour of NBC’s Today show on Thursday, weatherman Al Roker was eager to discuss the latest [online] poll about climate change: “I want to know how America feels about global warming.”
Fellow co-host Craig Melvin thanked him for setting up the story and proceeded to tout the new survey “that 73% of Americans polled said that global warming is happening.”
“Thank you, America,” Roker happily proclaimed. He added: “People know.” Co-host and fellow NBC meteorologist Dylan Dryer chimed in: “Well, the research is there. I mean, just look at the numbers on the thermometer and you can see that they’re going up.”
Roker cheered: “And even more importantly, 62% say global warming, climate change is human-caused. And this, I think, is an example of where the actual population is ahead of the politicians.”
Back in 2013, Roker was disgusted by another poll result showing that 37% of Americans thought “global warming is a hoax.” Citing recent weather events, he scolded those respondents: “Okay, two words: Superstorm Sandy!”
Basking in the more favorable polling opinion on Monday, Roker touted: “And Homeland Security and Department of Defense say the number one threat to Homeland Security is climate change.” (SEE ALSO: ‘Secret’ Pentagon Report: Climate Catastrophe Due Next Year)
Joining the panel, Sunday Today host Willie Geist gushed:
And it used to be….a losing issue in politics. Don’t talk about it because nobody cares. Well, this time in 2018, there was this new generation of people who ran, and in many cases won, running for United States Congress, who talked about climate change because they know people of this next generation do care because they have learned about the impacts.
Of course, all those candidates just happened to be Democrats.
It’s no surprise that a poll would find a majority of people have concerns about climate change, given the fact that the media push the issue constantly.
The fact that supposedly objective journalists are so invested in shaping how people think about a favorite liberal agenda item shows where their priorities lie.

62% is probably close to the percentage of Americans living in cities. I would expect 100% of city people to acknowledge the urban heat factor. That is caused by humans and the materials cities are made of, not carbon dioxide.
This is a clear demonstration of the insidious nature of propaganda. A majority of the proponents of global warming are likely aware that it is fake and that any variance in climate we witness is not human-caused, but promoting these ideas feeds their politics, so they push it and push it and push, relentlessly for years. The general public doesn’t know better, so after the barrage of BS, people begin to accept that it must be factual, even though it is clearly not true. This is so sad.
This is a perfect example of just how deceptive the main stream media can be. Believing that global warming is caused by man does not translate into supporting “rapid, far-reaching and unprecedented changes in all aspects of society,” nor does it translate into handing trillions of dollars over to the liberals to tackle climate change. Other polls show that of the major concerns that Americans have, climate change comes in last, or in some cases is so low it isn’t even mentioned in the polls. Much high is the concern over the economy and employment, and you can bet Americans care about taxes. All of these have to be compromised to support the climate change agenda. So to imply that 62% of Americans support this agenda is a lie.
No Roker, this is what happens when the citizens of this country are bombarded by ignoramuses like you constantly telling them that the weather is caused by “climate change” from CO2 emissions. Thanks for nothing!
