Ahead of MSNBC’s climate change forum with several 2020 Democratic candidates on September 19 and 20, on Monday, NBC News announced it will be creating a new “climate unit” of reporters devoted to pushing the liberal environmental agenda and even launch a Climate in Crisis series in the days leading up to the presidential campaign event.
“NBC News creating a new climate unit to cover the most important issues that affect our environment,” weatherman Al Roker announced on NBC’s Today show.
He continued to tout: “We’re gonna kick things off next week with a special network-wide series…Be sure to look for Climate in Crisis all next week on platforms of NBC News, starting next Sunday, September 15.”
Co-host Craig Melvin enthused: “We are looking forward to that, buddy.”Roker replied: “Very excited about that.”
Roker has long used his position on the Today show to preach climate activism.
A statement from NBCUniversal gave details of the planned coverage:
For the series, Al Roker traveled to Kulusuk, Greenland where he flew with NASA on a first-of-its-kind Oceans Melting Greenland mission, which examined the role the ocean plays in melting glaciers.
Roker spent days studying the climate’s effect on Greenland’s coastline. His reports will air throughout the week on TODAY.
Additionally, Lester Holt will travel to Alaska, where he lived as a child when his father served in the U.S. Air Force, to cover the impact of climate on the region’s landscape.
He will take an in-depth look at the effect of climate on Alaska’s natural wonders, including the Portage Glacier, and he’ll also explore the thawing Alaskan permafrost threatening communities. Holt’s special segment will air on Nightly News Monday, September 16.
The statement went to highlight the MSNBC climate forum: “As part of the series, MSNBC’s Chris Hayes and Ali Velshi will moderate ‘Climate Forum 2020,’ a two-day event featuring 2020 presidential candidates in conversation with young voters on climate issues.”
During recent coverage of Hurricane Dorian, Velshi repeatedly used the storm to engage in climate alarmism and attack “deniers.”
The NBC push comes one week after CNN’s softball climate change town hall with the 2020 Democratic field in which the hurricane and all manner of weather events were cited as evidence of global warming.

This intense propaganda from the mainstream media and the children’s strike is all in support of the UN climate summit beginning on September 23. Just what does the media and the adults who are organizing the strike expect to accomplish? Do the think that President Trump will want to rejoin the Paris Treaty? Do they think that President Jair Bolsonaro of Brazil will become a climate activist? After suffering price hikes and reliability issue from renewable energy do think that Australia will ramp up their commitment to that energy. Do they think that China will stop building two to three new coal power plants a week? A more realistic expectation is the media will set an all time record for the number of lies they tell.
“The urge to save humanity is almost always a
false front for the urge to rule it.” H.L. Mencken
It is quite noteworthy the climate hysterics are becoming so extremely strident just as the evidence for a continued warming trend begins to recede. Not to mention that we are still waiting for even a single alarmist prediction to come true.

…….. to summarize Mark Hertsgaard and Kyle Pope’s “call to arms” article, they state…
“Our ask of you is simple: commit to a week of focused climate coverage this September. We are organizing news outlets across the US and abroad—online and print, TV and audio, large and small—to run seven days of climate stories from September 16 through the climate summit UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres hosts in New York September 23. The stories you run are up to you, though we can offer ideas and background information and connect outlets looking for content with content providers looking for outlets.”
