A Finnish group wants to show people just how important climate change is. Its tactic? Carving a facial sculpture of President Donald Trump into an iceberg and film its melting.
The endeavor, called “Project Trumpmore,” sought to provide a visual representation of climate change’s impact on arctic glaciers. That entailed a 115-foot-tall ice sculpture mimicking the former presidents’ sculptures on Mount Rushmore. According to the Washington Examiner, the group would run a live stream of the iceberg melting.
“There are still people who ponder whether it’s a real issue,” the Melting Ice Association said in a press release. “We want to build the monument for all of us, so we can see how long the sculpture lasts before melting.”

The group likely chose Trump because of his previous actions and statements, which ran contrary to the liberal narrative on climate change. Trump caused an uproar, for example, when he pulled the United States out of the Paris climate agreement, which almost every other nation signed.
In 2014, he called out global warming “hoaxsters” for switching from using the term global warming to using climate change:

Scott Pruitt, Trump’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) head, has also made controversial statements about climate change. At the beginning of 2018, Pruitt suggested that climate change was actually good for humans.
“I think there are assumptions made that because the climate is warming, that necessarily is a bad thing. Do we really know what the ideal surface temperature should be in the year 2100, in the year 2018?” he asked.
He also noted how humans have flourished during warming trends.

Think about it… Protesting climate change is like protesting the sunrise. They both naturally and reliably occur.
