Former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg said Friday that he has launched his own effort to reduce greenhouse gases, but added that he hopes President Trump decides to take action on the issue as well.
“He changes his mind. He changes it frequently,” Mr. Bloomberg, New York independent, said on CBS “This Morning.” “Hopefully, he’ll come around and do something that makes some sense.”
Mr. Bloomberg said that a lack of attention to climate change, or global warming, is tangible in people’s health today.
He is currently working to go around Mr. Trump’s decision to withdraw from the Paris Climate Accord by launching a new $70 million effort called American Cities Climate Challenge.
The challenge will aim to meet the greenhouse gas reduction standards laid out in the agreement by 20 U.S. cities that are a part of the effort.
“If you don’t worry about the future, just worry about you and your family today and you’ll do the same thing,” Mr. Bloomberg said.

The temperature increase to this point is so small that climate change hasn’t harmed anyone. If this has influence extreme weather events, these are decreasing so it has saved lives and prevented property loss
The climate change movement has harmed many. The increase cost of power has made it impossible for many elderly in the UK to adequately heat their homes and there has been a higher death toll. In Germany 330,000 homes have had their power cut off because the residences couldn’t pay the high power bills inflated by renewable energy. South Australia has gone from inexpensive reliable power to expensive unreliable power. The World Bank has cut off funding for coal power plants which in many cases is the best option for developing nations. With limited power they will remain in poverty.
It is the climate change fraud that needs to be fought.
And now Bloomberg is a comedian ? Proof people with money don’t have to be smart .
No the earth doesn’t have a fever but climate changes and thank goodness it has been warming .
Have they stopped that Hawaii volcano from erupting yet ? Nah , yet somehow the earth’s temperature is supposed to be micro managed by a plant food trace gas .
The President isn’t buying crap the scary global warming campaign and neither is most of the world . Proof of extremely poor judgement was endorsing Clinton with such brilliant strategies as firing all coal workers . That sounds like it would be a Bloomberg
soother .
Bloomberg used his “bonus money” from market “fluctuations” to finance a computer program for the bond market and made millions…..
If he is so smart why doesn’t he understand that CO2 does not cause global warming, hence climate change.

People sincerely worried about their health have a list of concerns. AGW should be at the bottom. If you can’t stand the summer heat, leave the urban heat islands.
Michael Bloomberg is a staunch socialist. His underlying concern is the funding for socialist programs.
