David Parker, at the Hadley Centre for Climate Prediction and Research in Berkshire, says ultimately, British children could have only virtual experience of snow. Via the internet, they might wonder at polar scenes – or eventually “feel” virtual cold.

By 2010 (one of the coldest and snowiest winters on record in the UK) the Met Office was quite certain that Britain was moving to the south of France.
‘The Met Office is saying that despite the recent concerns about the science, they are very sure about the underlying science. ‘They tell us there is a 50-50 chance we will get a 2C rise. If we pull our finger out we could prevent us moving beyond 2C but we have to act pretty soon‘.
A 2C rise could mean summers in the UK reaching 38C – a climate similar to southern France.
That kind of temperature rise would see the traditional summer deep borders full of herbaceous perennials such as lupins and delphiniums replaced with Mediterranean plans.

I can still remember all this doom and gloom stuff from the Eco-Wackos the earth would be a dead hunk of rock in space orbiting 3 rd from its sun movies like Silent Running were all about this stuff or nature would turn on us in dumb movies like FROGS and i can still rmember all about those Killer African Bees and movies like The Swarm and if they ever made a remake of Hitchcoks classic THE BIRDS you can bet its central message would be abput Global Warming/Climate Change like that putrid remake of THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL
Climate alarmists may well assert that both extremely high and extremely low temperatures are due to AGW. What is indisputable is that their “settled science” (no more snow) has proved to be another false prediction. Clearly, the science is far from settled! What little alarmist credibility remains, is quickly eroding.
But unfortunately, as I mentioned above, the memory is very short for those who are firm believers of AGW.
I watched an FA Cup match today in London today and the temps were in the 20s with snow. The grounds crew had to come out a couple of times to shovel the snow off the lines. So much for no more snow in the UK!
These “scientists” count on both the short memory of the public and more importantly the support of the MSM to not point out the change in their ludicrous pronouncements. Unfortunately, both are true.
