Greta Thunberg did not mince words at a climate change march on Friday, condemning her parents’ generation for asking young people to “clean up” the environment.
The 17-year-old Swedish climate activist, who has made a number of high-profile appearances around the globe to promote climate activism, addressed a crowd on the College Green in Bristol, England, where she admonished the political class and warned that change was coming “whether you like it or not.”
“I will not be silent while the world is on fire. Will you?” Thunberg said to the crowd of more than 15,000 people who attended Bristol’s Youth Strike 4 Climate. “Once again, they sweep their mess under the rug for us young people, for their children, to clean up for them.”
The event was moved from London after organizers said they needed a larger space to hold the march. The crowd chanted “Greta” as she took the stage and celebrated the news that plans to expand an airport in the United Kingdom were canceled after climate change protests.
“Those in power, they are failing us, but we will not back down,” Thunberg continued. “And if you feel threatened by that, then I have some very bad news for you. We will not be silent because we are the change, and change is coming whether you like it or not.”
Thunberg has made numerous controversial statements when speaking on the issue of climate, and the environmentalist apologized in December for telling world leaders they would be put “up against the wall.”

Unfortunately the high school drop out is right. Consider the law that the UK has recently passed. Meeting its provisions will require shutting down all but three airports by 2030 and the remaining three by 2050. All ports will have to be closed and the ability of the UK to function at all probably won’t exist. The EU has also passed legislation that will cause drastic change “whether you like it or not.” Other places are not in for a lot of change such as China, India, or Australia. These countries are ruled by people who haven’t lost their sanity. With the US, whether we get the change that we don’t like will depend on keeping people with sanity in power. Already this isn’t the case in many states.
Go back to school Greta. Home schooling just isn’t cutting it. A little more CO2 has helped the environment more than every picket that has every marched or skipped school. A little more CO2 has greened the planet, shrunk deserts, and brought a string of world record crop yields. Why? Because CO2 is the basic ingredient molecule of life on earth. And multicellular life began at 7000ppm. 7-12 million people die every year from a lack of energy. Fossil fuels are 85% of the world’s energy. And using them actually improves the environment. And I got loads of quotes from scientists, professors, scholars and climatologists stating climate change is a hoax, phoney ‘science’ – I got quotes from the wolves themselves admitting that all is false, what matter is scaring people and take advantage of that to apply their planned changes!!!
