Climate activist Greta Thunberg has found a free, carbon-neutral ride back across the Atlantic, leaving U.S. shores on Wednesday with some stinging words for President Donald Trump.
The 16-year-old has spent the past 11 weeks crisscrossing America, delivering excoriating messages everywhere about the state of the planet, after she sailed from her home in Sweden rather than fly.
She spoke at the United Nations, spent time with former U.S. President Barack Obama, received the keys to the city of Montreal and drove a Tesla electric car lent to her by actor and ex-governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Along the way, Tesla CEO Elon Musk praised Thunberg for having “better reasoning & more heart than the vast majority of political leaders.”
On Wednesday she sailed off as a guest aboard the catamaran La Vagabonde with plans to attend the COP25 climate summit in Madrid, which starts in just under three weeks, before heading home to Sweden.
The COP25 climate meeting was due to be held in Chile but was moved to Spain at the last-minute after the South American nation was hit by protests.

She didn’t go however without a free character assessment of Donald Trump.
“He’s so extreme and he says so extreme things, so I think people wake up by that in a way,” she told AFP.
She did not address a video clip of her appearing to glower at Trump at the U.N. that went viral on social media, saying she was simply surprised to see him.
“I wondered why he was there because the thing was that he was not supposed to be there,” she explained. “That was the news. So something must have changed his mind so that he showed up there.”
Trump is not the only critic she has taken time to confront.
Last month she threatened to quit Facebook if the social media platform refuses to silence her critics.

I hope Greta has a cold crossing eating cold food and sleeps in the dark. If she doesn’t believe in people using energy, she shouldn’t either. However, I also wish her a safe crossing. If she wouldn’t survive a storm or some other event she would become a martyr and we would never hear the end of it.
Why can’t all us plebs have a million dollar 23 foot catamaran capable of crossing the Atlantic?

As she likes to shout about the destruction of ecosystems it’s a pity she didn’t visit the area providing 6.5million tons of biomass annually for the UK’s Drax power station. Apparently mature forests are being felled with the attendant destruction of habitat all in the name of “carbon neutral power generation. The £1.5million daily subsidy for “green, renewable” energy is just the icing on this particular cake.
We thought she would return to Europe by levitation or broomstick. On the cold north Atlantic, we hope she noticed the climate. The whole escapade tells us rather a lot about political leaders.

Greta will eventually have problem with the Swedish Taxsystem. She has some kind of business arrangement and her fundings and gifts will be scrutinezed by the tax athorities.
Whithin a period of nine months she has to cope with Swedish rules even if she is abroad.
Further more. If they find that any arranger is a Swedish subject of law then Greta has broken against a special law regarding underaged children. In Sweden are those under the age of 18 not permitted to expose themselves to physical strains of the kinds Greta exposes herself to. The Swedish arranger can be sentenced to jail and Gretas parents be relieved from caring for her. As Greta suffers from Aspergers Syndrom no doctor would granted her the necessary Medical permissions.
In my experience liberals think that if it is for one of their “justified causes” rules and laws limiting their actions shouldn’t apply. Let’s hope Sweden applies their laws to Greta and her handlers just like everyone else.

What does a 16 year old drop-out know about the world anyway? All she has proven is that the global warming political theater has scared the hell out of a lot children worldwide for no good reason. What are they going to say to her in 12 years when nothing corrective has been done and, more importantly, nothing serious has happened? Are they going to be able to give her her childhood back so she can get schooled and have a chance at living a normal life?
Shame on her parents, shame on her mentors, shame on her school, and shame on the UN for giving her a forum to spread her carefully nurtured paranoia.
