A quarter-century ago, the world’s leading climate experts predicted the end of skiing.

Ski areas to shut down “within decades”

The exact opposite has occurred. Ski areas are receiving record snow and some are staying open all year round.
Winter snow cover has been increasing for 50 years.

It wasn’t always like this though. In 1932, the Winter Olympics almost had to be canceled because of a lack of snow.

These sort of mispredictions are what happens when science is based around superstition and politics, rather than any actual science.

What’s the use of having snow if you have to take a horse-drawn coach to get to it. In the 1890’s the aroma of horse-exhaust in the major cities was overpowering. I’m considering setting up a buggy whip factory…..
Livestock raising has been going on for Eons but according to some Nit-Wits its only now their the cause of Global Warming/Climate Change These idiots need to read something other then the NYT’s and the newsletters from the various Eco-Freaks and certain persons like AOC and Cory Booker belong in a padded cell people like them are dangerous
Snowfall is not a reliable proxy for temperature. This past winter was cold enough, but here in southwestern Ontario, I didn’t get enough snow to ride my snowmobile. I talked to another snowmobiler 100 miles from here, and he agreed it wasn’t a good riding season. We don’t live in the snow belt south of Lake Huron. 50 miles south of here, Pennsylvania gets tons of snow.
South Dakota gets a huge chunk of its annual snowfall in April.
Similar experience: I went several years in-a-row during the 1990’s in Maryland able to run either on Christmas or the day before or after, wearing running shorts and no shirt at all. And I did so comfortably.
Such rampant faulty reporting here. Not just that predictions of the demise of snow was forecast, but that the fools who made these claims could be described as “climate experts” and/or “scientists.” As a scientist myself, I have learned to roll my eyes anytime I see such ‘specialists’ cited as authoritative sources on climate topics. They are not.
I don’t remember which year it was but I was on Christmas break while attending RPI in Troy, NY, in the first half of the 80s. It was warm enough ended of December that I was able to run in running shorts and a single, feeling like RIP Van Winkle and had slept thru winter!
As P.T. Barnum once said THERE’S A SUCKER BORN EVERY MINUTE and we see these suckers taking part in Climate Marches sailing out on icebergs dressing up as Polar Bears filing idiotic lawsuits and making total fools of themselves
