Stephen Colbert has mocked President Donald Trump’s claim that he has a “natural instinct for science” with a sketch pouring scorn on his alleged ignorance of climate change.
“I have a natural instinct for science, and I will say that you have scientists on both sides of the picture,” President Trump said to the Associated Press in a Tuesday interview.
Colbert joked:
After a year of massive storms causing untold damage, and our glaciers just shrinking in every direction, Trump was still ambivalent on the concept of climate change. He told the reporter, “You have scientists on both sides of the issue.” That is true, there are scientists on both sides. On one side, all the scientists. On the other, one guy who runs a blog called RealTrueAmericanScienceEagle.jesus.
Though his reliably partisan audience found the sketch uproariously funny, the joke was really on Colbert: it showed that Trump knows more than he does about climate change.
Those massive storms are a weather event that has nothing to do with climate change.
In fact, in the last few decades, the U.S. has experienced a hurricane drought, contradicting alarmist claims that man-made global warming is driving extreme weather.
Glaciers are shrinking in some parts of the world and expanding in others. There is little, if any, evidence to suggest that this is a man-made phenomenon.
The last quip is a huge insult to the large number of eminent scientists including Richard Lindzen, emeritus Alfred P. Sloan professor of meteorology at Massachusetts Institute of Technology; Fred Singer, emeritus professor of environmental science at the University of Virginia; and Will Happer, Cyrus Fogg Brackett professor of physics, emeritus, at Princeton University.
All are highly skeptical of the man-made global warming theory.

We’d have a more accurate reading of “global temperature” if the warmists hadn’t messed with the methodology.
Into the mix they’ve added fake historical data for Africa, because it suits their purpose.
They’ve eliminated temperature data that wasn’t helpful, like water intake readings from ships and gave priority to buoy readings. On and on it goes, adjusting historical data that makes today warmer by comparison. They get away with it because politics is sleaze.
Too bad he doesn’t have his own awakening like I did. The repetition of “global temperature” over and over and over finally got to me. I realized there was no single global temperature. The climate isn’t global either – and it’s getting colder in some places. Therefore there is no “global warming”. The climate may be changing in some places, but it’s natural variation. If CO2 were a control knob, it would be doing the same thing all over. It’s not. CO2 doesn’t determine climate. Location does.
I really don’t like being repetitive, but I keep hoping the truth will get to some poor “believer” out there…..
Colbert can never hold a candle to Johnny Carson AND NOW HHHEEEEERRREEESSS JOHNNY
And why is
COAL – BEAR
on tv ?
He should be in the same trash heap as
Rosie O’Donnell, Al Franken, Dan Rather and others.
unfortunately, colbert is a parasite living off of the Donald Trump popularity. His program was nearly on the cancellation heap when he decided to go total anti-Trump and picked up a devoted audience that keeps his ratings just enough for the network to retain him. Even so, his ratings numbers are a pittance compared to the previous Leno/Letterman days and are miniscule when contrasted to Carson; should the public mood change, he’ll be back on the cancellation list.
Christiana Figueres, former head of the UN climate office, once stated that the global warming effort has nothing to do with climate. It’s for a redistribution of wealth and the destruction of capitalism. Anyone denying this is a dreadfully ignorant person.
Colbert is a broken vase meaning Colbert is a Cracked Urn as rediculous as most all liberals are a lose nut on the wheel a nut falling from the nut tree a loose cannon and more of this crack-pots mindless ranting
