Teen climate activist Greta Thunberg of Sweden is visiting two Indian reservations this week to discuss climate change and oil pipelines with other youth.
On Sunday, the 16-year-old participated in a climate change panel on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota with Tokata Iron Eyes, daughter of former U.S. House of Representatives candidate Chase Iron Eyes.
The two teen activists met last month at George Washington University during an event hosted by Amnesty International, according to The Hill.
“The two will address high-priority topics for the climate struggle in Indian Country, including plans to double the oil flowing through the Dakota Access pipeline and the proposed path of the Keystone XL pipeline adjacent to tribal nations,” the Lakota People’s Law Project said in a statement.
Standing Rock is the site of the months-long standoff over the Dakota Access pipeline (DAPL) in 2016-17, and Pine Ridge is near where the Keystone XL pipeline extension, also under contention, would run.
Thunberg is scheduled to visit Standing Rock on Tuesday, speaking at the Standing Rock High School gym in Fort Yates, N.D., according to the Bismarck Tribune.
Thunberg has been in the U.S. since late August, leading the worldwide climate strike on Sept. 20 and taking world leaders to task at the United Nations in protest of the deteriorating conditions in the environment wrought by human activity.

Hey Grets, if it’s all about the scientists well then maybe one your handlers can read you the letter 500 scientists recently sent the UN IPCC . Among other things they state “there is no climate emergency ” . Now my guess is they kind of forgot to brief you on that fact . Oh and they may not have shared the statement by the lead author of the first two IPCC reports who says climate change fear is overblown . Guess they are just to busy .
The true test of a scam is when the facts are out and people pretend
they don’t exist . They are married to their beliefs and in fairness scientists who have been sitting on their hands for two decades are just relieving their guilt because they are no longer squeezing cash out of the scam they enabled . They knew exactly what they were doing and still do .
I wonder how many scientists come out of brain wash schools curious enough to do any critical thinking . 20 years of scary global warming child abuse .

First of all, the VAST majority of Americans have little understanding of the fact situation or permitting process surrounding Dakota Access & Keystone XL, let alone our distinguished guest from Sweden. If anyone is interested, you can always “Google” the Energy Transfer Partners lawsuit filing on Dakota Access for a rendition of the facts. Quire enlightening and a very different narrative from the picture painted by the media. If you look at the Keystone XL permit, federal district court proceedings & Nebraska Public Utility Commission rulings, again, the REALITY is very different than the environmental activists narrative. It’s a shame that Greta Thunberg is essentially being used as a “pawn” in this continuing disinformation campaign. A real DISSERVICE to our nation when critical pipeline infrastructure is needed to provide reliable, affordable energy…
