Silicon Valley’s Salesforce CEO and climate activist Marc Benioff has said he will be buying Time magazine, already an outlet for one-sided global warming propaganda.
Benioff was recently a keynote speaker at Gov. Jerry Brown’s Global Climate Action Summit where he talked about a starting a fourth Industrial Revolution. From Barron’s:
Salesforce-CEO Marc Benioff and his wife Lynne have agreed to purchase Time magazine for $190 million in cash, according to Meredith Co., the Iowa-based media company that bought Time Inc. earlier this year.

Expect to see Benioff try to make use of that platform at Time, where the energetic, charismatic executive is likely to put his stamp on the editorial product—much as his values have shaped Salesforce (ticker: CRM), the company he co-founded in 1999.
Benioff’s activism has been a core value at Salesforce. His high-profile philanthropy in the San Francisco Bay Area and vocal stands on social issues such as climate change, equal pay, gay rights, and apprenticeships are likely to be reflected in the pages of Time.
During the Global Climate Action Summit in San Francisco last week, he said Salesforce would establish “a new alliance committed to harnessing the power of Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies to help reduce emissions across all economic sectors.”
Benioff’s penchant for being bold could offer a contrast to the relatively low-key stewardships of Jeff Bezos, Amazon.com’s chief executive, who bought the Washington Post for $250 million in 2013 and Laurene Powell Jobs, Emerson Collective founder and widow of Steve Jobs, who purchased a majority stake in the Atlantic magazine last year.

Time Magazine is already under the complete control of the climate change alarmists. I don’t think that being owned by one will make much difference.
Time has been a puppet of the political left for a long time. Back in the 1970’s when global cooling was the scare, Time ran “articles” that amounted to nothing more than free advertisement for the anti-gun movement. My parents did not renew their subscription.
Once a year, someone gets their mug on the cover of Time magazine. For the other 364 days, Time stops mattering.
