Ask again in a month or so. Right now, well…
Example? Fifteen live links to various other sites. (Most of which I never even heard of.) The “meat” is in the text and photographs.
I grew up in the 1940’s/50’s in Brisbane, Australia. Two black and white newspapers along with half a dozen AM radio stations to get information from. Television? The first station, QTQ Ch. 9, started broadcasting in the early 60’s.
Looking “good”? Immaterial. Ease of use? I used to visit “World Net Daily” back when it had a simple presentation. Today it’s a right royal pain in the butt just to read an article.
Yahoo’s news page changed format a few days ago. I’m just about ready to give up on finding articles I’m interested in.
I’m old, and old fashioned, and ‘learning new tricks’ – not easy. (“Woof.”)
OK, CCD – I’ve just about adapted to the change, no sweat.
Yahoo? They’re ‘batching’ articles on one subject together. What I used to do, was go down 20 screens and then work my way back up, looking at any article, or even advertisement, that caught my interest. Some of those articles addressed subjects that were not what I would normally go looking for, but read just for some more general knowledge.
It’s the old story: “The more I learn the more I realize how little I know.”
Glad to hear you’re adapting 😉 Not sure if the other part of your comment refers to Yahoo or CCD.
I’m not sure what you mean about 15 live links going to other sites. Any third-party links are from the original article. The site is very similar in function to the previous design but just more stable and able to run on the latest server software. If you run into any issues, please don’t hesitate to use the Contact form. Cheers, Tom
I was looking at the multi-colored links, from “Twitter” to “Share with…” I think I counted correctly. A distraction.
It looks great! Good job!
Glad it’s back up and does look good. Great job Tom!
Thanks, Steve. Appreciate the kind words.
